Well, I really don't like where Dice took the Battlefield series, especially in denying any kind of mod support for the game in order to better pander DLC. I'm not having much hope for Battlefront 3 to be anything more than a dumbed down, arcadey mess, streamlined to sell DLC.

Hyperthreading has been around since the Northwood Pentium 4s (circa 2002). So I'd say HT will never have a widespread and strong effect on videogame performance. No need to buy a super expensive motherboard if you don't plan on overclocking.

Yeah PS1 games were pretty bland. Hated the shit out of them, actually. They had nothing remotely like Mario/Zelda/Banjo Kazooie/etc. And N64 games seem to have aged much better. I always noticed the ass-tastic polygon warping on the PS1, another huge turnoff for me, even at that young an age.
