you've only listed six skins. the electro hull is just a module. there was nothing other than the motion capture studio at 10 million, and the skull and crossbones skin is the blackbeard stealth skin; you can see it here. what the other three are, i have no idea.
...another pay-to-win idiot...
this is not something cig is making. it's a technology some other company made (i don't know which). cig isn't wasting money on anything, furthermore, just because it's something they'ld like to implement doesn't mean it's something that will be in the initial release of the game.
also, they do...
lol, i like how everyone shits on behavior while ignoring all of the concept art and the early spaceport concept they did last november. people also seem to forget the engine used...fps is kind of already done and in there. there's nothing to screw up. but go ahead and get your panties in a wad...
you go in that little sink behind the seats! :D or maybe instead of four bunks (2 max crew, wtf), they could change one side into a shower and toilet. i guess that would just be a regular shower, then? haha! come on, who hasn't peed in a shower at least once. :p
i guess neither of those...
different missiles lock in different ways. dumb fire missiles have no lock; they are basically like rockets and go in a straight line once fired.
heat seeking missiles lock onto the engine exhaust of the target ship. you have to be behind the ship to get a lock.
image recognition missiles...
you should ask these questions to the designers, rob irving or nate blaisdell. or searching those forums to see if they've already answered those questions.
enemy territory: quake wars. i'd imagine it would be similar to how you controlled the chin turret in the bumblebee. you pressed a button to "free look", where your mouse control moved where you look (and thus, where the gun was pointed) instead of the aircraft's pitch / roll.
chris has...
the problem is you're basing "class" on cost, and not specs. the cutlass compares more with the 300i and avenger than it does with the hornet or freelancer. also, "slow" is relative. how fast do you think something like an idris or starfarer will go? anyway, pirating will not be a one-person...
well, of course. they've said they wanted to sell more physical goods. merchandising, merchandising! where the *real* money is made. star citizen the t-shirt! star citizen the baseball cap! star citizen the coffee mug! star citizen the bomber jacket! star citizen the FLAMETHROWER!!! :D
the fans send them the booze. the poker game was during the live stream. of course they're going to have to contract out to other companies to build stuff, they have a lot of shit to make. it's faster to outsource and have multiple teams working on it. as for voice acting...why would they do it...
your definition of "pay to win" is wrong. "pay to win" having an item in game that gives you an advantage, that you can only get buy paying real money. that is not the case here...everything being sold can be purchased with in-game credits. also, a couple months is nothing in the long term...
true, but it's not like we're just waiting until then. there will be incremental releases along the way...the hangar module in two months, the dogfighting module in six months, etc.
i'll second what diableri said; a lot of this stuff is still in development. in addition, they just changed over to a new website and things such as the faq and ship specs haven't gone up yet (although you can see some preliminary ship specs here). supposedly there will be a post regarding the...
just to be 100% clear, reclaiming a pledge is basically the same as getting a refund for store credits. anyway, you don't have the squadron 42 single player campaign in your hangar, but the first squadron 42 expansion (listed under the original and veteran backers reward). so you'll still want...
sorry if everyone else doesn't seem to be able to keep up with everything (or rsi has a hard time putting all of this info in one convenient location). also, you grossly over-estimate your abilities. ;)
we weren't talking about people who backed after the grace period, it was a response to the...
that is also incorrect. anyone that pledges before the grace period ends (sunday july 7th 3am edt) will have lti on any ship purchased afterwards until nov 26th. they'll just pay the higher post-campaign prices, while the original backers will pay the lower campaign prices.
you are quoting outdated information. all original backer perks and lifetime ship insurance is available to anyone who pledges before the end of the "grace" period, july 6th (12 midnight pdt, or 3am sunday morning edt).
the wikia page that tudz linked is fine. the information there came from...
no, it just means you'll have to do a little work to falsify the ship's info, or just use it in the more lawless areas.
no, you'll use different ships in the squadron 42 campaign. if that's all you care about, get the $30 digital scout package if you don't care about the alpha / beta and can...
ugh...people seem to like projecting their worst experiences onto this game. it's not pay to win, it won't be a grind-fest, and paying for insurance in-game probably won't be that big of a deal. the doubters can worry, but i think they might actually be pleasantly surprised for once.
the...
people worried about the game being a grind-fest...don't worry. it's not going to take you six months to get enough credits to buy a constellation, but don't expect to earn enough in two hours either. it'll be fun, and balanced. you'll be upgrading your ship as you go along anyway. trust...
whoa, you're mistaken! you are looking at the add-on ships. for the actual packages that include the credits and the game, you need to click on the link under "packages" on the pledge page.
no, you should have the title of "original backer" regardless, so you'll be fine. if you have doubts, you can always just e-mail cig and ask customer service.
if you want a different package, go into your hangar (hover over "my rsi" in top right corner and select "my hangar"). this will show everything you have, and you can reclaim your pledges here for store credits. once you've done that, get the pledge you want (scroll and and verify it has what...
chris has mentioned on multiple occasions that ships will not simply disappear when you disconnect, for the obvious reasons.
yeah, they extended the deadlines and gave all veteran backers all of the perks the original backers had (2,000 bonus credits, a repair bot, etc). you'll be good to go...
to be clear, ships will never disappear when you log off. the way chris wants it to work is, if you're disconnected or log off, the ai will assume control and attempt to land at the nearest port. the idris is the largest ship that you can land. larger capitol ships (destroyer, cruiser, carrier)...
you misunderstand...he's not talking about the rsi website pledge, he's talking about the kickstarter pledge. it's different, and he does get alpha and beta access.
i'd contact CIG about that (contact us link at the bottom of the website will pop up an e-mail form); you should have alpha and beta access. they'll get you sorted out.
