ouya with plex works amazing... or xbmc - either way- in addition you get an awesome emulator console for your tv as well with wireless controllers... for the price of 99 bucks u can't beat it in my opinion... i don't use it for much else tho other that emu and streaming, havent spent a dime in...
were the lights on in that pic with the tempered glass? what if I play with no lights on in the dark?
also what is better, glossy or matte? i currently have a samsung s27b550 - is that glossy or matte so I know what to look for.
thanks for the help with this...
I'm still tempted to get glass...
XiP I agree with you. bezels kill gaming using 2 or more monitors, even on three...one big one is the way to go... if you run two, you won't be using the other to browse the web or watch a movie while gaming unless it's an mmo. It's cool to have, but I don't see the point... much rather have one...
I used to have multiple monitors but I found it to be more of a distraction. I'd mainly only use it when playing wow anyway to browse the web but now that I've gotten away from MMO games , I don't find a need for it. fast paced FPS and RTS games are only hindered by using the web on my second...
can an hdmi cable run 1080p @ 75hz?
what about a standard vga cable?
i'm overclocking my monitor in nvidia control panel and trying to figure this out.
i set custom resolution at 1080P 75hz and it seems to be running fine on my hdmi but I don't know if it's actually giving me the 75hz or if hdmi...
how does that work with my current video card? will it mess things up. I've never done the usb monitor thing. Will it go into software rendering or something when I play games on my 27"?
I'm looking for the smallest monitor I can find so I can use it to display temps and other system data. I don't care about resolution and don't need anything fancy. Just something to display some windows widgets on.
suggestions?
Is it worth it to go with the 780 over the 770 at this point in the game? please include reasons why. I'm debating between the two. Is the 15% performance difference really worth it from the 780? That's not going to be game breaking on anything and if it is, then the card will be long in the...
I have a 27" 1080p monitor for gaming currently and it's very nice.
I also have right next to my pc in the living room, a 42" 1080p monitor and it's also very nice. I hook my pc to it and I do poorly all the time... is it just too big for how close I'm sitting? Anyone else game on a large...
yea so many scammers on ebay now a days...emailing me asking me to buy it at this price, then that price, then this price, don't want some scammer hacked account buying my thing. Get me on gametz.com if anyone wants to work out a deal.

I do everything through steam and could care less about game bundles, that won't influence my decision. I decided I will try to step up to the 780 if I can... but i dunno if I want to drop that kind of money. we'll see.
It's factory overclocked. has double the usual amount of memory 3gb...
580 gtx
what more can I say?
It's up here.
$230 or bid. I don't care what it goes for just need a little extra money for that upgrade. No reserve, been a while since I've done ebay, I don't even know if they actually do...
I'm torn between

I play planetside and I heard nvidia is better for that game, but I don't play favorites. I'm also liking that the 770 is $100 less. I believe...
what does 11.2 really offer... most don't even use 11 still.
the jump to 750 from 400 is a big one and I'm not willing to spend that high... $500 was my limit for the 580 and 500 will be my limit for this one. the 770 is 2 gens ahead of the 580 which is usually when i buy, every other gen... I...
I've got say... $500 to work with.
I currently have a zotac superclocked 580 gtx with 3gb memory
I want to upgrade
would a 2gb 770 gtx be worth $400 as an upgrade?
for $450 I an get a 7970 ghz edition 3gb
I'm reading benchmarks and they look very similar, but the numbers...
i guess for $160 bucks when I get the money it'd be worth it because 4tb is a lot to refind and download, I wouldn't know where to begin with what I currently have lol
I've got movies and tv shows on 2 x 2tb hard drives
i can get a 4tb usb 3.0 drive as a backup for my stuff in case it fails...
now I could always just download the files again.
i've never had a modern hard drive crash except for a bad batch of seagates that had firmware issues... the drives...
that makes sense... I guess I can run everything at just about max so it doesn't really matter... i should save money when I can. It's not like I can't play anything that's out there on my 580... I think I'll save my money. :)
I've got a gtx 580 OC with 3gb memory. Is it worth upgrading right now? I can play everything just fine, I mean I struggled with metro a tiny bit with maxed AA and all the special effects but it really wasn't bad... should i just wait and build a new system later on down the line since my 580...
i got a kickstarter one mine is good...it still needs an official version of mame in the ouya store i hate sideloading cuz it comes on a different menu, it also needs dreamcast but that's a pipe dream, if optimized for tegra 3 it could do it.
i want the 780 but i'm not sure if it's worth the cost... i got a 580 which was top tier and i expected it to last me a little longer...any lower priced alternatives to the 780 that hit close performance wise?
