It would be great if I could see my legs when I look down.
Ok seriously, I would like to see more games like Far Cry 2. I loved being able to follow the story ot just explore a huge open world. I had so much fun playing it on PC.
I'd like games to stop putting walls up. I would have LOVED...
Not everyone lives in the core of a city where there are lots of hot spots. I tether my Milestone when I need to complete a project on word/excel/etc. or to do some small tasks that might require my desktop/netbook.
If I had an unlimited plan, which I don't, I could play games when I'm out in...
Downloads != Users. I guess they're spying on everyone, how else do they know they've got millions of users. :P
Opera Mini is great software! The desktop browser is... ugly. Do they have Opera Mini for desktops?
I'm in the same boat. I have an 8800GT SC and I was thinking about upgrading, but then I got a 2nd card from my Secret Santa for SLI.
I was planning on upgrading if Fermi was worth it... but I'm not too impressed so far. Guess I'll just have to see what the future holds.
Loved Excitebike and Road Rash
There was another NES/SNES game that I played only once that let you have a career, get upgrades and race around the US. But I can't remember what it's called... and there are so many of them like that. I liked that one. haha
The Bigs for Wii. Made me want to kill something. The controls are horrible and the computer is impossible to win against.

Oh and Eek the Cat for SNES. I hated that game, could never guide (aka kick) the granny through the levels...
I was wanting to watch rented movies, so they aren't always mine to backup.
I'm still curious to see if mapping a Blu-Ray drive would allow me to play a movie on another comp with WinDVD, etc. I'll just have to try it someday when I get a Blu-Ray drive for my computer.
For now I decided to...
You can share an optical drive on almost any version of Windows. On other computers you can then map the optical drive to your computer. It works just as if the drive was on your computer (for most things). This is sometimes done on computer lab setups.
It's also a way of installing programs...
I like RTS games. Some I can play with no problem (AOE, BFME2) while others give me a hard time (WC3). Star Craft multi-player against computers isn't fair at all, even on easy. It's ridiculous that they didn't "fix" it. The computer rushes in the first few min. If I can survive that, which...
Is it possible to play a Blu-Ray movies over a network using a shared Blu-Ray drive? I'd like to watch movies in Windows Media Center or a device similar to the Western Digital TV HD Live Media Player.
I would like to be able to install a Blu-Ray drive in my main computer, but have the option...
I don't think default XP search will do what you want. I don't remember XP ever being able to search inside of text based docs. If you did download Windows Desktop Search, then you might have to check the settings in that program. Windows 7 time!
I love media center and the useful additions of libraries to Windows 7. I just want the internet TV content providers to allow viewing of TV shows in Canada. I can watch them on TV, why not on the internet?
I have yet to hear a USB headset that I liked. I still use an older pair of Plantrionics Audio .90's (grey), much better than the USB headsets I've tried.
PC is always better game play wise. I haven't played the Xbox version although so I can't comment on the story or other differences. BTW I played FC2 and loved it! The huge open map and open game play made it a lot of fun to explore and do mission. I think a lot of people who complain about it...
If that's the board I'm thinking of, it might be my next motherboard. I've been awaiting the release of this board for a few weeks. I love that it's loaded with 8 SATA ports and lots more. Hopefully [H] does a review. :)
YEARS AGO is right. It's not the same.
It's not all that different from iTunes or WMA, they want you do use their format as well. Thing is no one really uses .rm. haha so why make a converter. Although you could just convert .rm using Realplayer. And honestly, who even uses .rm files... I...
From what I had read I originally thought OEMs would just be installing HP on Netbooks since the restriction of running only starter was dropped. I guess I missed the part about just changing a few things in starter, but still selling it. :S
But it wasn't just the 3 apps thing that makes me a...
Problem is that a lot of normal consumers don't know what they're getting with Starter. I happen to know, so I would never buy it.
You're thinking Windows 7 Basic...
Honestly Windows Ultimate should run just as well as Starter on a netbook. Windows 7 was MADE to run better on older/slower...
First things first. Netbook manufactures shouldn't be installing W7Starter on netbooks, I find it pathetic. Only being able to run 3 apps?? COME ON!
The Aero interface should definitely be included, along with Media Center. Netbooks are used a lot for media so to release a netbook without this...
