Others have sold the 2080ti for $400 seeing that the upcoming $499 3070 is faster. It's a total shock how much of an upgrade these cards are! Just looking at raw shader core count, we are talking about 4352 cores 2080ti, compared to the 5888 of the 3070, and has a higher base\boost clock.
I guess MonarchX flaked out. He stopped responding, even though it shows he is still active on the forum. At least say something so people aren't waiting.
Really great idea Supercharged! I agree 100%. Also if in a living area where subwoofer wouldn't be practical you can always go with a Subpac. The tactile feel added is priceless for immersion...
Who all is going to pick this up? I can see more of a use for people that have a large room-scale area. Mine is 20x15ft so loosing the cords will be very welcome.
With my testing of Project Cars the game has a bottleneck somewhere else in the graphics pipeline. It's the game, unfortunately the best GPU won't help this game, as VR was tacked on after the game was already produced. We will have to wait for PCars 2 which will be made from ground up for VR.
What's wrong with VR horror? I think it's one of the best, if not the best genre for VR. It surrounds you with the horror environment and VR gives you a feeling of no escape due to the HMD. But definitely not for the faint of heart.
I have a 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos setup. I would love to use it for VR, especially as it has directional sound coming from all sides and from above with Atmos.
Great review!!
Finally a game for the Vive I'm looking forward too. Been waiting to play this one for over a year. Releases March 14!

Good headphones usually have a larger soundstage for better spatial awareness in VR. Although earbuds are convenient. I like both depending on my mood. Wireless is just one less wire to have to manipulate around your head/neck, definitely worth it.
It's hard not to be. The VR gaming experience is just so different, it's like nothing else out there. This is the stuff I have been dreaming of since I was a small child. I remember seeing a VR helmet at Disney 25 years ago which probably cost $100K at the time, and was dreaming of it ever since.
I have had the Vive for nearly 9 months now since its release. I think the WOW effect wears off a little bit after a few months when you brain adapts to the Vive. I'll take a week or 2 break from the Vive and the WOW factor comes back when I return.
Hmm, well it is a normal game converted into VR o maybe that's why the movement feels wonky. Have you tried Onward? Movement mechanism is done well there.
