So it's quite dry here in the winter, and I have a fabric chair, which causes an audible static discharge when I stand up. Sometimes it kinda hurts too, but it's only mildly annoying at most. I do use a humidifier which helps, but not 24/7.
Anyway, when this happens, one of my two monitors...
Hi! I'm guessing the answer is obvious: faulty PSU, but I'll ask just in case.
I upgraded my PSU yesterday to a beQuiet Straight Power 11 (850w), in preparation for other updates. Previous PSU (BitFenix 650w) has been working fine with the current setup for around a year. Didn't change anything...
Hi, so today I opened my computer up and a couple of programs like Chrome and lastfm gave me some errors regarding not accessing a folder on C. It seemed to be C:\Users\username\AppData\Local
So I restarted the computer and chkdsk ran, giving me a bunch of "Recovering orphaned file" lines. Now...
A lot of people like to share their opinions as to whether or not they liked the ending of some game. For me it's almost always a negative experience because the ending means I don't get to play the game anymore.
Anyway, how would you describe a good game ending? What do you have to do to...
PS! Very beginner here, so excuse the stupid questions :D
So I'm creating this appointment/alert desktop program. You can save appointments to a certain time, view them, and get notified when they are about to take place. Two questions.
1) I want to create a popup when an appointment is...
So I decided to check my HDD out to see what state it's in.. There's some warnings, but I don't really understand what they mean or if I should be worried.
Hoping someone can shed some light on it. This is an external harddrive that I converted into an internal one. Couple of years old...
Started thinking about this today and it's a fairly interesting subject. So I'm interested in hearing what kind of gamers you guys think you are. Might provoke someone to go find more games based on those answers
What genres do you enjoy most? What does a game HAVE to have for you to enjoy...
So I'm learning java, and before that a bit of c#, and so far the biggest problem I'm having is even though I have a basic understanding of what a class is and does, in my little programs I have never run into a situation where I feel the need to create an extra class other than the main one. I...
So it's been working fine for months, now when I open it, I get this error:
Always happens when it's initializing scripting. I tried to restart PC, reinstall the program, reinstall it to a different drive, nothing. I don't remember doing anything significant recently that would provoke this...
Hey, so I'm looking into getting a new cpu (and therefore also mobo), so I'm trying to figure out what I should be looking for (good chance I will buy it used) and how much money I should scrape together. Relevant questions from the sticky:
1) What will you be doing with this PC?
Some CPU...
So I started learning programming in Visual C#, and that tends to generate code as
method ()
{
//code
}
Now I am getting into java in Netbeans, and the code gets generated as
method () {
//code
}
And for single line methods I've also seen people do
method () { //code...
Hey, I do some basic audio recording (with fraps, for youtube vids) as well as talking to people over teamspeak/skype etc. So far I've used Turtle Beach Z2 headset and I was satisfied with it - there was no background static or any sort of noise other than a bit of ambient fan noise coming from...
Ok, here's the deal.. I got a Corsair 200R case, which comes with two USB 3 ports in the front, and a corrseponding cable too hook up to the motherboard. But since I have an old motherboard, it only has USB 2 slots.. Is there any way I can make that work or do I need a new motherboard before I...
Bought the Razer Deathadder today, and having problems getting it to work. The mouse's LEDs light up, but moving / clicking buttons does not work in the computer. I've tried hooking it up to a different computer and it works fine. I've tried all the USB ports as well as restarting and clicking...
Hey, so I occasionally do some Minecraft videos, and so far I've been using Fraps - no problems at all, nice quality and Vegas treats it just fine (that's where I edit it)
Recently I tried out recording the footage from dxtory since it has more possibilities, and for the video settings I used...
Hey, so first of all here's the specs:
Mouse: Logitech mx518
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition
I've had the mouse for a long time, but I got the keyboard recently. Since I got the keyboard (and the Synapse 2.0 drivers for it), I've started to experience problems. Everything seems...
So whenever I've had to format my PC in the past, I've popped in the CD, restarted my PC, hit the button that boots from CD, and followed the instructions there.
But I've always wondered - why can't I just pop in the CD, go to my computer, and open the contents from there? Does it do the same...
Ok, here's the deal. I've been using computers for years now, and so I am fairly knowledgeable as to what places to avoid, etc. Generally I'm not going to find myself going through 90 ads, filling surveys to earn some imaginery money or gain access to some weird porn site.
I've been using...
So here's the thing, I have a rather small HD for my windows, and it constantly gets full, so I'd like to see some sort of a program that actually shows me what files or folders or places take up how much of my harddrive, so I can remove the troublemakers.
Any ideas?
Hey guys, coming to you with another problem : )
Been recording some youtube vids recently, and I noticed an annoying high pitched sound at the background of my voice.
At first I thought it was my microphone, because I had some random standalone 5 dollar mic, but now I got a Turtle Beach Z2...

So I have this computer, so far I haven't had any problems with it - runs pretty much every game to my satisfaction. That being said, I don't play many hardware intensive games.
I've recently picked...
