Just got my new feet in the mail, more than doubled the clearance to the ground. The improved airflow definitely helped temps out by a couple degrees.
Pic attached :)
I'm still waiting on my new power supply fan to get in right now, but here's a screencap of temps after 9 straight hours of PUBG. The non-psu fans take my noise level up to just under 40 dBA (from a baseline of ~38.2), so I'm extremely pleased with my current results. I know I could get lower...
I'm on a reference 1080 ti PCB, which I think only has a 2-pin header, so no PWM there. I suppose I could use a 3pin splitter with non-PWM fans, but I'd have to check the power draw and make sure I'm not overloading the header.
My biggest issue with PWM is that all of my fan headers are currently being used (pump/cpu fans/gpu fans), so I don't know of a way to get the PSU fan its own profile.
The 2500 rpm version of the A9x14 has a start voltage much closer to the stock fan (1.3v difference vs 3v by the testing...
Flipping the PSU dropped me down ~2.5 dBA, which is definitely better, but still louder than I would like. That noise level is consistent with some other results in the SF600/450 thread, so I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and replace the fan. It's a bummer that the NF-A9x14 that comes...
Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase the 2500rpm version of the A9x14? (Failing that, is there anyone with one they're willing to part with?)
The lower starting voltage seems like a big plus since I don't want to deal with setting up PWM.
The Celsius AIO only came out about a month ago, so I'm not surprised there's not many builds with it.
Definitely going to try flipping the PSU today, and I may just go ahead and get the accelero - my card has the reference PCB so it should work. Does anyone know if there's been any research on...
The fan seems to behave as its supposed to at idle (it turns off etc.) so my suspicion is that the air inside the case is warming up, hopefully flipping the psu over will fix it. If not, I can definitely try my hand at fan replacement, the custom cable linked in that thread should make it super...
Built my M1 build last Thursday, still working out some tweaks, but here's a couple pictures.
