First js9000 is returned, 2nd one is about to be opened! Of Fry's putting it out as open box after showing them the stuck blue pixel (granted it is near the top right edge) $1898 or so at Renton WA Fry's if anyone is close and doesn't care.

I believe the benefits of local dining are lost in PC mode. Not so much between these sets for PC use.

I think this post PERFECTLY captures the point that the differences in picture quality between the JU7500 or in this case even the 6700 and the JS9000 are going mean everything to some and be either way for others! For pure picture quality you can not really go wrong with any of those...

Yes it was degraded when I was on 1007 or something out of the box... 1212 or so gave the quality then the last most recent update kept the quality and added in what felt like noticavly lower lag with amp on ;) Seriously update the firmware asap

If I am correctly interpreting your statement and you actually want to make out the shape of the pixels then the 48 is more likely to work for you than the 40. 90ish PPI sounds like the JS9000 48 is your choice ;)
