So... the 960 is slightly faster... I'll give it that. But, it may just be me, but games seem to take much longer to load. And if I alt-tab out of a game, that's a bit slower as well. I don't game above 1920x1080, and super high details don't mean much
I'm betting this has something...

I am using both DVI ports and the HDMI port. I am wondering if using the display port might come into...
Can someone with experience link me to a cable that won't break the bank? Preferably monoprice?
As I understand it, i'll need a display port, and then use the two DVI's but i'm a little lost there... The instruction manuals from MSI are useless and don't even cover 3d surround, so I fall to...

Dunno if they actually have some available, but there it is if you want to give it a shot.

I basically only play 3 games.
BF3 - runs fine
Left4Dead2 - will very rarely freeze up
Diablo 3 - The Devil's in the details.
The card pretty much hops and stays at 75C (according to MSI afterburner) as soon as the game is fired...
I said NT... I tried to save you the trouble of reading whatever I decide to put here...
Hmm... How about a random multidimentional equation. Yellow + 3 = banana.
See what you got yourself into by not reading the subject line?!?:confused::confused:
What sort of performance difference should I expect?
I play BF3... That's probably the most graphically intense game.
Should I wait for the new cards to come out since it seems like all GTX580's are going for 450+ ?
I've got a new sandybridge build, and it runs great with my GTX 470.
However I have a 8800GTX that is doing nothing... I like to stream games to justin.tv and it would be awesome if I could offload the process to the 8800GTX...
Can/does anyone know the right direction to look? The...

I was in need of headphones, these seemed like a good deal and had nice reviews...
If you are familiar with xsplit or wirecast, you know what i'm talking about... Streaming to justin.tv etc...
What software will take advantage of it? I like xsplit and wirecast is good but expensive.
Ok.. so I finally decided to give a new build a try...
i7 2600k
MSI p67a-GD53
16 (or 8) Ripjaws DDR3 1600
PNY GTX 470
Win7 x64 pro
Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU
Ok... when I put it together, everything came up and I proceeded with installing windows.
Windows installed fine, windows...
I want to go intel. Overclocking isn't that important but I want a board that will do it if I so choose. Its looking like the i7 2600k is the way to go on a proc if I can find it for ~250.
I have a GTX 470, and really will only need suggestions on the mobo and ram. I think 8GB of GSKILL...
Lets see how clean everyone is...
How big is your case? what's the airflow from low to high? do you keep the side of? Do you have pets? Do you keep the rig high? Lets see some good ways to keep our rigs clean.
Pretty slick new technology isn't it?
No... it isn't. New that is. When Carmack released the quake source, many engines spawned from it - many were just minor improvements on the GLQuake, but one engine (don't ask me which one... I wish I could remember) did "tessellation."
It was a...
So i've searched and been unable to find info about this, except for canned marketing.
I realize you need the card, 3d capable monitor???, and the shutter glasses, and win 7.
Has anyone messed with this? All I have is the GTX 470 and wondering how much more I need to even play with this...
So yesterday, I stop by a pawn shop, and there's an obviously pretty poor guy that is selling his PS3...
I heard the store clerk say "Man... I can barely do 100 for you... I'm almost taking a loss there."
And i'm sure he'll try to sell it at MSRP.
I was halfway tempted to say to the...
Decent difference... The 8800GTX was always a beast of a card, able to handle some pretty high res, even in todays modern games like borderlands and such. Dragon Age: Origins - not so much though.
So, i've only played two games with it - don't really have an interest to try much else at...
Yes, yes... I know the new intel i7 series is all that and a bag of chips...
I don't want to shell out the cash for it, a new mobo, and ram however.
I currently have an E8400 @ 3.6 (pretty dang stable) with an old 8800GTX that still gets me by. 4 gigs of RAM... uh, PC8500 I believe.

2 gigs corsair @ 5-5-5-15-2
EVGA 8800GTX (768megs // 384 bit bus)
I had been overclocking my e6300 to around 2.3ghz
The e8400 is at 3600 currently and it a very noticeable improvement.
I got it because I got curious after...
I can't remember and wasn't able to find that info anywhere...
i'm looking for a optical cable for my computer to surround sound that is around 30 feet.

414 AR.... apply the following code for 347
EMCADCABH
although - i'm a bit hungover, so i'm not sure if i've seen these for 299 or not
So my center speaker is no more...
I'm not looking to spend an outrageous amount (ie - over 50 bucks or so) for a decent center speaker to compliment my current z-5500's.
Anyone have a good suggestion? Ebay turns up Bose speakers that are just flat outrageously priced and I just won't...
Ok...
So I have my sharp aquos going to these badboys via optical cable - and love em.
But, at (what I think are) to be random times, they will just power off to standby mode. Which is a pain when you mute your TV.
The woman threw away the instruction manual, and a quick search...
Yes - its a TD rebate... i've never bought from them, but hey - heres the deal.

So yah! The title says it all pretty much minus one thing.
I don't need a unit that has a DVD player - I already have a upscaling DVD player.
So basically, all I want is a 5.1 surround sound unit that will take the optical output from my aquos.
Anyone had any good luck with a price...
So I have just upgraded from my 8800 GTS 320 to a GTX.... right off the bat, crysis runs fantastic on high settings.
But... how much is the processor holding it back? I'm thinking a little, but I do have it OC'ed to 3.0....
I realize the L2 cache is small, but still...
any ideas?
Ok... so its not really a HTPC... its a 8800 connected to a DVI to HDMI cable, but whatever :)
That cable is running probably around 20 feet or so... its got extensions, and I haven't tested it out, but hoepfully I won't get too much signal degredation.
However, the real problem comes...
Just curious if anyone has done this and what sort of gains were achieved.
I'm thinking if its really going to speed things up (crysis runs like butter on my single one at 1650x1080 on medium everything) so i'm wondering how it would do with two of em.
I'm not expecting to run at a higher...
Just wondering if anyone has figured anything out...
Its depressing they have a coop career mode but as of now, your only recourse is to buy a whole other bundle and try to get a couple bucks for the game (why would you want just the game though) on fleabay.
I'm almost tempted to take...
