Matt,
Why don't you go somewhere else, since you cannot add anything helpful. Besides, you probably don't even know how to get into priv mode on a Cisco.
You could get a small switch and plug in both routers. Run one router with a DHCP scope of 192.x.x.x network and the other either a 10.x.x.x or a 172.x.x.x network
Document everything that you have now. Then look at it as how old stuff is, document warranties too.
Get quotes on what you would like to replace. Get quotes on expired warranties.
Give them a business plan on why, ROI, etc.
Grab the basics of the test from Microsoft and go from there.
Here is the problem I have with Microsoft tests:
Most of the test questions are based on theory and not really real world scenarios, thus its a bit confusing. Hiring an MCP in Exchange, not really recommended as it would be a...
Since we are a call center, and personnel move around day to day from computer to computer, we use a login script that grabs the computer name, username, time, logon, logoff, reboot, dirty logon, dirty log off and inserts it into a database. Then if someone says "Joe Smith's computer is broken"...
Again, you guys are completely missing the OPs question.
He is not asking how to connect a printer, but how does it communicate.
I believe it is via NETBIOS over TCP/IP
You didn't specify
Which RAID were you going with?
What HDDs are you thinking of using?
The biggest factor in the drives is matching size, cache size and spindle speed.
The RAID will be configured by the smallest drive size.
DNS or DHCP issues will NOT drop a computer account out of the domain!
Without knowing the configuration as well as seeing the configuration we are going at this blind.
The one thing about security, if someone wants to get in, they will try, it is a matter how difficult you make for them determines how far they are willing to try.
Depends, the size of the data is one thing, the type of data is another. Is it one large file or a bunch of smaller ones? If it is the latter, it will be a lot slower. Also, is the disk transfer rate will play a factor as the temp folders will fill up.
SSD is not necessary as RAM and CPU is mostly used for its functions.
We use a combination of ISA and Watchguard for our VPNs. I know that is not the answer you are looking for, but just to give you an idea what others use.
You do not need a high powered computer for a firewall even...
You are missing everyone's point, invest $40 in a RAID card and you will be happy trust me.
A couple of things of note:
Software Array in Windows is not bad, just not smart. What happens if your OS fails?
They use more CPU time since this is done at the software/driver level.
They are...
You must be using Verizon.. Verizon won't let you tether unless you have the service.
I would do this...
When you need to tether, call them and they will activate the service, when you are done, call them to cancel it. Then they will only charge you prorated for the month.
