    Battlefield 4 **Official Discussion Thread**

Interesting. I never use the magnifier, but what kind of bug are we talking about here? I have huge issues with the FLIR and IRNV-sights for the soldier weapons though, because they only work 60% of the time. That is, I get the tiny zoom and the crosshair, but their effects won't turn on, so...

    Battlefield 4 **Official Discussion Thread**

I can finally join the servers, all I had to do was to relog into Battlelog, and it greeted me with "grats you now have early access to Second Assault blablabla".

BF4 - Antialiasing Post - Yay or Nay - Vote and Discuss

Hehe, it's actually all on Ultra, including HBAO, although it's not a good scene to showoff the Ultra setting. I picked that scene only because of the geometry and to test the AA. EDIT: screens are 1080p res.

BF4 - Antialiasing Post - Yay or Nay - Vote and Discuss

I appreciate your post. I do agree with the sharpening. Looking at it like that, I should really turn down the sharpening and vibrance a little bit. The treetrunks do indeed look slightly better with MSAA. But notice the beach and rock geometry on the left side. MSAA doesn't help at all...

BF4 - Antialiasing Post - Yay or Nay - Vote and Discuss

Alright people, judge for yerselves: No AA Postprocessing (FXAA High) FXAA + SweetFX 4x MSAA Notice how MSAA is only very slightly superior, which is not worth 10-15 fps, in my opinion. SweetFX only carries a 2-4 FPS-hit, so it's a very nice solution to the FXAA-bluriness. EDIT...

BF4 - Antialiasing Post - Yay or Nay - Vote and Discuss

In BF3 I used FXAA set to "low" together with a slight sharpening from SweetFX to create a damn nice picture with a minimal amount of jaggies. I'm currently using SMAA from SweetFX in BF4 but the foliage is annoying me, it looks too sharp and harsh. I'll probably switch to FXAA+Sharpening...

    Dota 2 Official Thread

What do you mean exactly? Isn't Dota 2 supposed to be a direct port from Dota with updated graphics? I'm guessing you're criticizing the wrong people. IceFrog is still in charge as far as I know.

    Dota 2 Official Thread

I've recently become addicted to this game. I've played with a few friends of mine, and it's a lot of fun (for me anyways). I can understand how it makes people rage hard, yet you keep coming back to it. Loss after loss, and I still wouldn't give up. It's a shame people quit before they really...

[Nvidia] 310.70 WHQL Driver "An Essential Upgrade For All GeForce GTX Gamers"

From Guru3d: http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4471827&postcount=158 "AndyB NVIDIA Rep The drivers have been tagged by Manuel and I as WHQL-candidate from the very beginning, meaning we expect them to be the WHQL driver once MS certification is completed. The choice was...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Hey again. 1205 was the update I flashed to. It's listed as the latest BIOS on the Asus website, per 2012.06.08 (8th of June).

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

You should check out the Asus P8Z77-V, it has PCI slots, P/S2, and Wi-fi. Also, it has a gorgeous BIOS. Other useful features are the ability to flash the BIOS via USB with nothing but the power cable connected, a MemOK!-button which automatically loads compatible RAM-settings to help with...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Hey there again, just wanted to update: my success rate with 4 sticks of RAM was 100%. The system booted just fine on the second attempt. The first power-up gave me a BOOT DEVICE error. Note that I did use the usb biosh flash feature, I figured it would help to have the latest BIOS version to...

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Hey man, I'll be setting up my system tonight with the same RAM as yours, but with the i7 3770k and the regular P8Z77-V mobo. Hopefully I'll be posting here afterwards with my new beast!

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

I went for the F12's for that reason. In theory, they should easily push more air than the P12 through restricted airspace (more static pressure), such as the drive cages right behind the front intakes. Now I guess that point is moot as you can easily remove both cages, but I reckon most...

Intel RST 11.5 - Where is it?

Yeah I'm curious about this as well.
  19. E

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

You should consider the NF-F12's as front intakes, they deliver more static pressure and more direct/even airflow thanks the their new Focused Flow technology. Should work out even better than the P12's. That's what I'm going for anyway, ordered everything yesterday :)

    ASUS P8Z77-V LGA1155 Motherboard Review @ [H]

Hey guys, looks like I'm going for this mobo instead of the Sabertooth. I'm also ordering a Gainward 680 Phantom, which is a TRIPLE-SLOT beast. I'm wondering if I will have any clearance issues with a Phantom + a discrete PCI-e soundcard (Asus Xonar STX)?

Ah I see, thanks. Will give Avast a try on the upcoming computer then.

    best free antivirus?

Interesting. Do you have any links to support your claim? Wouldn't it be strange for such a program to receive such high scores from av-test if it couldn't give even a basic protection against rootkits?

    best free antivirus?

Interesting how well AVG Free Edition has been doing lately. I'm starting to think maybe people's view on AVG is severely outdated.

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

I'm already planning to have one 140mm as rear exhaust. If I can't place the second 140mm as the bottom intake, I'll sit there with one useless 140mm fan and one unused bottom intake slot :/
  29. E

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

Guys, I need to be absolutely sure: will a Noctua NF-P14 FLX (140mm fan) fit as a bottom intake next to a Corsair AX750 PSU (160mm in length)? If no-one knows for sure, I might have to go with a 120mm instead :(

Hey there dudes and dudettes! I recently found out about Intel® Smart Response Technology and I became very fascinated by it. I'm buying a new computer very soon, so I thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of such technology in my upcoming system. Here's my planned setup so far...

    550D , Ivy Bridge & Cooling

Aha, thanks. I think I'll go with their 140mm for the bottom intake and rear exhaust. But I heard mention of Noctua releasing a PWM version of the 140mm fan coming out shortly... but I want to order all the stuff in June so I'm not sure if I can wait too long. You heard of anything like this?
  34. E

    550D , Ivy Bridge & Cooling

I'm currently going for the same build, and I'm going all Noctua. I'll stick 140mm fans to the bottom and exhaust, and use 120mm fans on the front intake. But I'm not sure what to use in the front... NF-F12 PWM or the regular P12 PWM. Anyone?
  35. E

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

Hmm, looks like the top front intake would benefit enormously from a Noctua NF-F12 with Focused Flow instead of a standard P12 fan, since it seems to point straight at the GPU. Comments anyone?
  36. E

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

Ooo thanks for the tip! I'm hoping I'll be able to control the P14 fans with the Asus FanXpert 2 utility anyway but if those PWM version pop out before I order the computer in June I might as well grab them instead :)

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Hey guys, regarding the Z77 Sabertooth, does anyone know if I'm gonna get any clearance issues using a Geforce GTX 680, Xonar Essence STX sound-card, and Noctua NH-C14 cpu-cooler, because of the Thermal Armor?
  38. E

    Corsair Obsidian 550d?

Aha, thank you so much! l'll most likely settle for this cooling setup according to your recommendations: 2x120mm front intake (Noctua NF-P12 PWM), 1x140mm bottom intake (Noctua NF-P14 FLX), 1x140mm rear exhaust (Noctua NF-P14 FLX). CPU cooler: Noctua NH-C14.

    ASUS Sabertooth Z77 LGA 1155 Motherboard Review @ [H]

Hey guys, this will likely be my next motherboard this summer. But I'm nervous about using my sound-card together with a huge cpu-cooler on it. I have an Asus Xonar Essence STX, and I'm wondering if I will have any issues using the sound-card inbetween a GTX680 and a Noctua C14 cpu-cooler?

Hey there guys, I'm planning to buy this case in a couple of months, but I have a few questions I need help with before I can pull the trigger: 1: Will a 140mm Noctua NF-P14 fan fit as exhaust or do I need to use a 120mm fan instead? 2: What's the recommended fan setup if I plan to use an...
