If it wasn't for my app, that I'm using for work (stock market analysis, daytrading) I'd be on Linux.
I know you can load windows under linux, I guess with Vmware. I guess that wouldn't change anything in performance? My app would still do multi-threading the same as if it would run on...
thx all 4 ur replies. I kind of figured it all out now. I found the "powernow" settings in Bios, and got all cores running at max. 15multiplier, 200Mhz Bus speed; 3ghz core speed. the Microsoft patch helped a bit as well. however I figured out that my app does certain things on only one core...

Having thought this over a bit, and measuring my case, I think I'll go for two 280mm rads. One to be mounted on top, and the other vertically inside the 5.25 drive bays, including the 14cm fans. Some of them will fit I believe, like:

Phobia G-chamber 280
