Doesn't surprise me - Wii has practically been dead outside of a small handful of releases in the past year. 3DS still picking up momentum and should have a really killer holiday with NSMB2 coming out (among other first party titles).
If they can supply some fantastic software for the Wii...
Call me oldschool but console FPS controls haven't felt good to me since Goldeneye/Perfect Dark (N64). Strongly considered getting this but ended up getting a new PC. If they make one for the next xbox I might jump on it early next gen.
Such a crappy problem to have...ever since I read about that I've used the little protector that came with the unit to protect it. Probably have to add some rubber pads off of something else later on.
I've encountered these issues at work in the past year as well. Started with Firefox, and after that started eating up 1gb+ I switched to Chrome. I noticed that didn't do much better (worse, in some cases). Some people say vanilla firefox is ok, but poorly coded add-ons cause the memory usage...
I've heard that playing with the CC makes camera movement easier with the second stick, but makes selection actions in battle harder. I only have the original CC which cramps my hands after a bit so I'm going to try it with the wii remote/nunchuck first.
Rumors have been all over the place with this thing.....however non-anonymous sources have already said it's more powerful to varying degrees. The demos alone showed what the console was capable of at e3 last year, can't imagine the hardware was downgraded since then.
Thought I read somewhere that a large percentage of 360s have never even been online.
I don't see this happening until the next set of consoles (assuming there is another set).
Not much that hasn't already been said.
Skies of Arcadia is my favorite RPG on the system...large, fantastic soundtrack, decent difficulty, lots of content, huge map and at least 40 hours of gameplay (I think I was well over 50).
F-Zero GX is one of the more technologically impressive...
Had a similar problem where certain sites would rarely load on the first attempt (newegg comes to mind). I could always fix it by clicking in the address bar and hitting enter to reload, which never failed. I just tried to reproduce it again but could not, maybe it's been fixed.
Never got the best killstreak rewards in the previous CoDs, but I did manage to get the MOAB in MW3. I had turned off recording but managed to snag a copy of the replay from another person who was in the game. That's when I discovered that the theater mode in MW3 is terrible compared to BLOPs...
If you can live with a 4:3 display, you can get some reasonable monitors for dirt cheap. I'm running 2 Samsung Syncmasters right now (900NF and 955DF). I don't know where they fall on the CRT quality scale, but they beat the LCDs I had used in the past. They were $5 each, found at thrift...
My plan is to pick up a FW-900 and hope it lasts until these monitors drop to a reasonable price. LCDs turned me off of PC gaming for many years until I was in a position to run some CRTs again, these will be a nice upgrade.
I know that the original Tyrian had support for 2 players. It looks like some people have updated it for modern systems after the source code was released. Old game, but better than half of what's out there today. Good music too.
Lots of good stuff so far in here....Top Gear (SNES) and Cruis'n USA (N64) have some good tracks to drive to:
