    Black Ice SR-1 120mm with 2 x GTX 570s or GTX 670s

It would probably work. I had a 670 on a single 120 rad (XSPC RX) and it idled at 30, and didn't go above 45 in BF3. Mind you, you'd need a fan with a lot of static pressure to go through the 80mm effectively..

    CPU Block Noise

I was wondering why you are so aggressive, but then I looked through your post history, and it seems you are an asshole to everyone, not just me :D

    CPU Block Noise

I never understood how people can use those CPU block + pump combos... I can SORT of understand hanging 1KG of copper off a silicone motherboard at a 90 degree angle (not really, I can't, even with the backplates), but putting a heavy block on there that's constantly vibrating as well? That's...

Strange yellow tinge to new loop

Ah, it looks like someone else had the same exact issue as me: http://www.overclock.net/t/1205823/silver-kill-coil-not-working Looks like it's just fast oxidation due to the silver coil/low water flow. I just looked at my water and it seems I used de-ionized (ultra pure laboratory-grade...

Strange yellow tinge to new loop

Sorry, no photos of it all put together - I took it apart literally a week after I put it together, so haven't had time. A couple of the Bitspower barbs do have some of the black matte paint stripped off, but I don't think they came like this originally. I did run my D5 at the "1" setting...

    Fractal Design Gallery

Recently got the Define Mini and stuck 2 RX120s in it... the temps were alright but ultimately I wasn't very happy with it, it's just not made for watercooling, too cramped no matter how you twist and turn. So I got a Define R4, will post pics once the new loop is complete. For those wondering...

Strange yellow tinge to new loop

So I put together a new loop about 2 weeks ago, fairly standard stuff: RX120 x 2 XSPC Raystorm Heatkiller 670 block Durelene tubing Bitspower barbs XSPC acetal reservoir with D5 Silver coil Everything was flushed w/distilled before I closed it, and I ran distilled in the loop as...

How to cut steel drive cage?

As it happens I do! Do you mean something like this?: http://www.harborfreight.com/heavy-duty-4-1-2-half-inch-angle-grinder-91223.html If that works, maybe I will go buy it tomorrow. What type of file would I use to make the cut smooth afterwards?

How to cut steel drive cage?

Are you sure those would work? I know it doesn't look like it, but it's 1mm thick steel - I can't even straighten out the curled part with a pair of pliers. Not sure if a hand tool would work for something like this..

How to cut steel drive cage?

Hi everyone, I am mounting a radiator in my Defini Mini, and unfortunately a design element on the drive cage which is supposed to make it "pretty" is in the way... here is a picture below I need to cut off that curly piece of metal at the front of the cage. Any idea how to do this? I...

    Heatkiller GTX680 block weight

So I just got my Heatkiller block for the GTX680 (putting it on the EVGA 670) and this thing is heavy enough to use as a weapon... I mean I did read before buying that it's 1KG of copper, but handling it in person, it's literally heavy enough to kill someone. Anyone else who has this block, did...

    My Fractal Arc Mini

Awesome, thanks! I will start out with a single 240 then and see how it goes :) Very nice rig!

    My Fractal Arc Mini

Are those load or idle temps in the screenie? I'm building something very similar, except I also need it to be very quiet, so I'm debating the 240 vs 240 + 120 (on the bottom like yourself). The plan right now is to use a single RX 240 at the top (pull to outside of case), with 1 intake in...

Fractal Design - ARC Mini - The perfect water-cooling mATX case!

I have the Arc Midi right now, which is identical except for a few details, and I can tell you the top cover sits very snugly on the case, there is only maybe a few mm of space between the mesh/filter and the metal casing (and I doubt it's different on the mini). You could in theory take out the...

Fractal Design - ARC Mini - The perfect water-cooling mATX case!

Wow thanks man, I'm actually doing the exact same build as you come IVB, so that's some useful info.

Fractal Design - ARC Mini - The perfect water-cooling mATX case!

I'm a bit confused by the information on the site - can anyone tell me if you can mount a push/pull on the top rad? (I'm thinking XPSC EX series + 2 GT fans, so 86mm of clearance in total). The site makes it seem like it would be ok with standard DIMMs, but I want to be sure.

    Best alternative to Diamondback?

Hi everyone, I used the original Razer Diamondback for 3 years, then got a 3G one when it broke. Eventually that one broke too, and for the past month I've been using a Razer DeathAdder. However, I don't like the shape of the mouse. My Diamondback was very angular and low profile, and...

    Thank you Gskill

My only problem with G.Skill is the ricer heatspreaders.. They used to be ok with keeping it toned down or at least offering a high end RAM with conservative looking heatspreaders, but now all the good/cheap sets are SNIPERZ this or RIPJAWZ that with huge toy-looking heatspreaders. I know...

Building a mATX system this summer

Mate I think you're going to have a hard time finding all of that, including the monitor and all, with a budget of $1000 (and with a +20% tax on everything), then stuffing SLI Nvidia cards (known to run hot) into a uATX case in a hot country.. Just seems to me like you'll have to compromise in...
