The 1050s are still averaging lower PPD and for the first time since I bought them I am noticing some screen lag on everyday tasks.
One card per monitor.
Not really an issue much longer since I am retiring at 1.2B this week anyway.
About to drop out of the top 10 for the first time in years.
Too...
Lower PPD, higher power required, so far. I'm down about 18% on PPD on what ever project is now running.
Edit: Oh, and I also had a "core_update" error in the beginning on one of the 1050s that would not self-clear, so you may also have that issue if the numbers are off much more than 18%. I let...
No idea. I simply updated the Nvidia driver when it notified me it was available.
I've not seen any type of notice from PG of a fix, but they aren't known for giving a crap about the donors so take that for what it's worth.
I'm using two 1050 (non-TI) on Win 10. I get about 280K PPD cumulative. That's on a mix of jobs and using the "fixed" version of the driver for 10 series boards.
I run the clocks with a bit of an overclock. No extra power connectors required and the tool says they are running under 70W each...
^^^^^^^^ This. I don't believe you're getting any clock enhancement using TPC on a Dell MB. And the MBs that tear worked on are very specific and unlikely to port.
You'll find many threads in here like this: https://hardforum.com/threads/looking-back-in-after-taking-some-time-off-from-the-forum.1833049/#post-1041129059
Many hard hitters simply moved on from FAH.
Some still bravely spend their money and time.
Some just get a life. :)
I loaded the 376.48 driver Skilllz mentions onto the 1050s late last night and no frequency drops have occurred with either since.
More than one project type has been completed as well.
Hopefully this allows the 10xx series boards to fold solidly.
Update: Still completely stable since last...
I would expect 1080s to be well above 1700MHz when in boost mode.
It will depend on your model of course.
The "crippled" mode will be way below that. Most likely near the same 680MHz I am seeing.
It appears I am only partially right about 376.33.
The 1050s appear to drop to a low clock (~680MHz instead of boost of 1750MHz)
when WUs of a certain core start and no way to get them to boost again until that WU finishes
and I power off/on the PC with another more stable WU running. Then boost...
Came home to zero internet connection this afternoon.
Like 13 finished WUs waiting to upload.
After running to the Comcast store to get a replacement gateway, turns out the stupid coax splitter between the wall, TV and gateway is dead.
Odd to say the least. Able to bypass it for the time...
Thanks. The dead stats server, the very day I was predicted to cross 1B, had me thinking karma was getting me for some act I could not remember committing. :shifty:
I am assuming that plext0r was a huge part of team Grandma. See above post where he states he is moving his rigs to another team.
Outside high temps here have only gotten up to the low 70's, but the basement is already hovering around 82F with all these 980Ti folders.
Looks like I will need to...
Top 90 now. And yes, you are correct. The 1B pernts club is not what it used to be.
I first hit the front page in September 2012 and I think my points were around 220 million.
Don't fret people. This won't last forever. Remember this is [H]ard work!
I was not on team Grandma, but I started FAH again in her memory.
I am approaching 900M (today?) and shooting for 1B before the summer heat kicks in.
At that point I will have to back way, way down so the opportunity will...
My dual ES 62xx on air will do 3.2GHz at 1.25V all day but I think 1.3V might be an issue.
I can't recall but I thought there was a voltage limit that you can find using TPC. You may be hitting an OVP trip.
Have you just tried 3.3GHz at 1.25V ?
Does it run longer if so?
Run comprehensive memory tests.
What ever device you are booting/running from, swap to something else (USB stick, HDD, SSD, etc.)
Pull each CPU and check for contamination on each pad.
Run FAH one CPU installed at a time with minimal memory. Repeat for each CPU individually using the same socket...
Spoken like someone who has years of experience mining!!! /sarc
What you are doing is misinterpreting all the "numbers and trends".
So like I said, bring back your results and prove me wrong "numbers whiz".
What could you possibly be hiding from that would make it reasonable to lose crap loads...
Please smart ass. Go ahead and spend all you want on mining HW. Then come back and tell us how successful you were. Then we will see who is "oblivious and ignorant". Just because you did not hear the answer you wanted does not make it wrong.
Many folks on this site, you NOT included, have the...
Difficulty has been "skyrocketing" since mining started. It's the nature of this process to "control" the number of coins in the market.
Any HW that was good became obsolete pretty quickly. And that cycle repeated itself over and over until now only the top .01% (maybe less) of the mining...
