Don't worry about the paper mode looking anywhere pink. That picture just looks odd compared to how it really looks. Color temperature in "paper mode" is set to 4500k, so bright whites are warmer and easier on the eyes.
I have tried all of the filter patterns and the only filter I like is...
I honestly don't know and started this thread to shed some light on this issue. NCX recommend me to invest in a colorimeter, while you and Evilsofa disagree.
I think Il wait for 3rd party versions of the R9 290 with OC and better cooling. I think that card offer great value for money, and...
Is that the only reason for chosing a Radeon over Nvidia? I think I read that you also said that most games override those corrections.
"On Radeons most do not and to be 100% covered one can use PowerStrip trick that don't work on NV because NV don't share LUT registers with anyone!."...
What's your comments regarding color correction with Nvidia hardware?
For reference I found this post made by Xor_2:

Almost identical post on Hardforum made by the...
Big thanks to both evilsofa and NCX for their input, I have some deciding to do now. Might get back with further questions later on if I need some additional info.
Well, I started this thread to collect some information that will hopefully help me decide. Evilsofa has made an informative post as to why I should not invest in a Colorimeter. So I would kindly ask for somthing more specific than that It would be "silly" not to calibrate it cause some might...
Been draging my feet for a while when it comes to investing in a Colorimeter but figured it would finally be time to pull the trigger. So I have been reading up on different brands and have come to the conclusion that the X-Rite I1 display pro is the way to go if you want the most accurate...
Here we have them all annouced by AUO back in december 2011. Looks like Vega is the man who will be shedding some light on this, cause Eizo support is tight-lipped as usual.
M240HW02 V6 - 24" AMVA panel, 5000:1 static contrast ratio, W-LED
M270HW02 V1 - 27" AMVA panel, 5000:1 static contrast...

Both models are listed as discontinued. My answer was in regards to his direct question "So there's also 27" version of the panel used in this eizo ?" , and not if there is any display coming out in the near future.
Still, I...
AUO started production of both displays as early as December 2011, so yes they have been sitting around for quite some time. As to why that is, your guess is as good as mine. Maybe they wanted to milk the TN tech a bit more before introducing this into the market ...
It will be interesting to see how long it is before we see other displays with the M240HW02 V5 panel used by Eizo in it. Although the panel itself is 120hz I guess they have to be offering the 240hz uspcale option to be able to compete, or offer it for a lower price. We also have the M270HW02 V2...
Swedish review is up, google translate is your friend ;)

First time I hear that there are reports of IPS glow on some 2736s. Opinion on Swedish forums resonate well with my own and Supersnake's experience. Maybe NCX can provide some links to the negative reports mentioned?
Im an owner of the EV2736 and always use "paper mode" when I browse the web or work in front of the computer. I have battled uvitis in my right eye for quite some time and recently got Posterior vitreous detachment as an "added bonus". So Im pretty sensitive and easily get intense pain, headache...
You are welcome to post their answer here, if you get one. Both Supersnake and I are very pleased with the lack of glow on this display, he wrote about it in this post.

It looks awful, and I don't get why they don't make a straight replacement of the display instead of their so called "repair" effort. Eizo CS in Sweden is excellent and would have had that monitor replaced in no time for you, weird that they don't seem to give a shit in the US, or at least in...
It's basically a stripped down CG246, so it should be the same panel. Prad reviewed it on 27.06.2013.

Im also a bit dubious as to why the coating would affect the glow to any larger degree. If you read the review made by "DEAD" he claims that the Eizo have very weak glow effect compared to all the other new PLS/IPS models he have tested.
Google translated:
Very weak Glow-effect - like the...
Yes it makes sense, thanks ToastyX for clearing things up !
Supersnake, I'll have to check it out and get back to you hopefully within a week. I was only home for a short stint before I had to leave again. Catch you later !
Hello again Supersnake and thank you for your informative update !
So this have been tested on a total of 3 computers. We all share the same OS, while you and your friend have a GTX 580 and I have a HD4850. You and your friend share the same mismatched res/signal while I don't. You had 2...
Hello Supersnake,
Looks like You and I are the only owners of the EV2736 on this forum, as you have not had your post answered for quite some while. I have been away for a month and have not had the chance to answer your post myself until now.
I can however confirm what you have written in...
If Im not mistaken the 2407wfp have around 33ms of total lag. If you are not bothered by that when you game you shouldn't have a problem with the EV2736 with a total lag of 23ms, about the same as the u2713hm. Viewsonic VP2770 have according to PRAD.de even lesser lag with an average around 18ms...
Depends on what your requirements are. Are you a hardcore gamer who want the absolut lowest overal inputlag? What display do you have now? I can however assure you that you don't have to worry about backlight bleed with this display.
Good to know that your dilemma was easily resolved. Wonder if the Svethardware reviewer had the same problem when he added the "- Backlight (but without lumens) " to his list of cons?
It's nothing specific for just this Eizo model. Hardware LUT calibration is usually only offered with more expensive screens regardless of brand. So you would also have to calibrate through the GPU if you bought a VP2770 and Dell U2713HM, etc.
If you use a DVI-D cable you can install the...
A bit of a confusing review, partially the google translation that adds to it. But if we address the cons they write about.
- Inaccurate sRGB gamut
Seems to be a 50/50 chance to ge a unit that is well calibrated in the sRGB mode. A colorimeter is recommended if you want to be sure of accurate...
Tested both resolutions you asked for and can confirm that no buzzing is detected.
No black bars.
I also require larger text for reading but would recommed you to download the Nosquint addon for either firefox or Chrome. Then you can either set the required zoom and text size globaly or...
Supernake, Im away for a week so I can't help you with your questions right now. Hopefully someone else can chip in and answer them for you. If they still are unanswered when I get back I'll gladly try to help you.
