If you go into BIOS and motherboard health(gigabyte)
You should see your voltages.
If your not to hot at soldering try a fan controller
Like a zalman fan mate 2 and ducktape ;)
My pump rpm is 1800 from 2100 and silent!
Read through the whole thread...
The fans are setup to blow through the radiator
Pushing the air through the front vents as an exhaust .
The hdd fan isn't attached and I can feel the air
Being sucked through it with my hand.
The psu is blowing normal direction out the back.
I tried it as an experiment and haven't thought
It...
Mine is running at 1732 rpm and goes up to 1795max
Its been fine for 3 weeks. As everyone is saying it is related to
Voltage. Corsair wont admit there's a problem and would
rather send you unit after unit.
Anyone reading this it does work
I'm so glad I actually did it
The pump gets power from...
Anyone having pump noise
Check your 12v is actually 12v and not around 12.2v like me
If it is more the pump speed is controlled by voltage.
If it is too high the rpms is to high and it rattles.
I have soldered a diode as suggested in the corsair forum thread
To lower the voltage by 0.5v...
Your correct over 12v pump makes a grinding noise.
I have soldered a diode in series like the cosair forum thread to give a 0.5v drop 50p fix.
It is now silent.very happy with temps if i had rma it- it would have been the same- as alot of people. Have tried!
Pump rpms are controlled by voltage -...
sorry my camera is so blurry but probably a good thing as my cable management could be better!
when i can be bothered to open the other side ill put it up.
The last photo shows the h100 in place
Ive lowered my overclock on my 2500k to 4.3ghz with a DVID -0.30v.
This thing is rock stable and...
All I've done is remove the 2 front fans and just rested
the h100 in there place. held with 2 elastic bands either side :)
Couldn't be easier no modifications!
I can confirm to any one interested the h100 fits easily.
I have it held in place by 2 elastic bands blowing out the front.
I5 2500k overclocked to 4.6 idles 30 degrees without backplate mod
very happy is very quiet had to do volt mod on pump and is now silent
Haha
Thanks for the reply.....
I'm after the custom backplate design people
Have been using not the standard one.
A dxf file is a very common cad file that I
Could use to cnc one .
I'm a cnc programmer and setter
which is quite useful
Hi guys sorry I know this thread is really old I've read it through twice now.
I've fell in love with v351 and brought it :)
I'm running a 2500k and looking for a quiet cooler for over clocking.
If someones willing to sell me a backplate or can supply me with a dxf file?
