    Question about 500r build.

I have the 500r and used the standoffs that came with it. Those are just holes that look like standoffs. Use the ones provided and put them in order that corresponds to your motherboard.

Need advice for my first build (ordering tomorrow!)

That builder series PSU might not have enough power to run the 660ti. I recommend the Seasonic 520W instead.

Need a second opinion on building for a friend

You will find a good deal on CPU and Motherboard. I'd pick this up from microcenter: i5-3570k $190 + tax Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H $100 + tax. Still comes out a lot cheaper than buying those two parts from newegg.

Upgrading current rig!! Need some advice please.

With an i5-2500k, I don't see a point in Z77 anyway. Just because something is newer doesn't mean it is better.

Can an Antec NEO ECO 520W support a 580GTX?

What would be the required PSU for a Radeon 7850, then?
  26. A

Can an Antec NEO ECO 520W support a 580GTX?

I still don't see how having it at exactly 40A is "fine".
  27. A

Can an Antec NEO ECO 520W support a 580GTX?

You need 40A on the 12V rail to run a GTX 580. The Neo ECO 520W has 40A on the 12v rail. IMHO, that is cutting it way too close to be worth it. I'd also feel a lot safer with 600W.
  28. A

Can an Antec NEO ECO 520W support a 580GTX?

    Then a 7850 should run on a 400W PSU.

If you cannot spend all the money upfront, don't build the computer. Spacing parts over months and months is not a wise way to build a computer.
