WOW! You can't see me from wherever you are...but I'm bowing down to you. That looks better than our lab @ work - a lot better.
What is the device @ the very bottom of the rack, with the LCD screen? Another PDU?
I would love to pick one up, but I'm having trouble finding one for under $200 - I know they're worth that much... but, I'd love to catch one for a steal.
That was actually a good rant. All of our Core Network routers, switches, and servers are named after Beers. Every single one. Makes it a breeze to remember & find. With the labels on, one of our colo's looks like a freezer "Pilsner, Wheat, Stout, Guinness," etc...
It wasn't the worst I've seen, by any means. But A) I didn't get the entire shelf in the picture, it got worse at the bottom with Linksys hubs and straight runs. B) I was looking for one cable in 350 unmarked cables & patches that connected to another room... So yes, I screamed a bit.
In my new job, I do a lot more Network Systems Admin/Engineering work. Which is a lot more enjoyable:
Brand new core router ready for MPLS deployment:

I've been a longtime troll in the forum, and it's time I post some stuff from my job & studies.
In my previous job I dealt with a lot of customer premise work... which meant I dealt with a lot of MESSY CABLE WORK! Most surprisingly, this is normally in very important places.
Spaghetti @ a...
@ Dash & MikeTrike - where did you guys grab those YeaLinks? Direct, Ebay, or special distributor. Part of my new job @ work is evaluate products for VoIP platform & I see that they have an Interop guide for Yealink. I wouldn't mind picking two up for testing.
I think you're great for the CCNA with that equipment. Definitely with switches, but for the CCNP you'll probably add another one or two more routers. I'm headed for the CCNP now, as soon as I can motivate myself. You can search the web for topologies like these...
@ToX are you putting Cisco 800 series at each of your stores? If so, I think I may know who you work for. If you're in the optical business, I think my company may have provided your data connections.
WOW! I don't think I can "technically" look at these pictures on my work computer since they are "technically" considered porn. Seriously though, please keep updating these pics. My jealously grows stronger with each one. :D
Resolved! Thanks for everyone's help by the way.
I needed to apply a "stateless" command in the Adtran, and apply the Policy to the WAN (public) interface policy, rather than the ETH2 (DMZ) interface policy. I was applying all the statements to the ETH2 interface, but packets were being...
Yes, we do. After reading Vyedmic's suggestion I looked into the config where I tried to setup a DMZ and found an issue. The other engineer setup a firewall policy that superseded anything I attempted. I need to remove all the rules and start over. Thanks for your help thus far. I'll report...
This is my first post here, so forgive me if it has already been covered.
I have been tasked to install the first "hosted & managed" network setup at work. I've actually been tasked to clean this up, since one of the other engineers on my team botched the install. Here's my issue:
A small...
