a 23-inch monitor without an HDMI for console gaming is just not a good recommendation at all, just my honest opinion. I have no doubt the LG is a good monitor, though for console gaming, a 27-inch would be better.
This monitor looks to be a good choice...
I just recently used this monitor for about two weeks, it's not a "glossy" it's a low Haze on top of a very coarse AG filter, really kind of bothersome to a degree, think Dell U2711.
I have this monitor as well and have had ZERO issues with it, perfect across the board. Though seeing others experience image retention bugs me, I had this happen on last year's Dell S model, only monitor that I've owned since the start of LCDs to have this happen. Seems like this is becoming a...
The IPS screen on last year's Vizio 32-inch B1 model was incredible, deep blacks and zero backlight bleed, with a nice glass like surface. The 2015 model is nowhere near as nice.
Frustrating, typed a huge comparison, just vanished in the freaking nether, I'm going to keep it much shorter this time.
- BLUF: HP 27c IMO is a MUCH better option and costs less.
- Not as glossy as I expected, it's similar to what you see on the newer Samsung HDTVs, somewhat of a hybrid...
I was looking at the S2715h earlier today, had the S2440L a couple of years ago, loved the glass/glossy look, though it sustained serious image burn in, fist time I ever had that happen on an LCD monitor. The s270c, looks very interesting, that may be my option. I currently own the Samsung...
I always like using a 27-inch 1080p monitor for most of my console gaming, I use other higher resolution monitors for my PC gaming. Curious to see what is the best Glossy 60hz 1080p 27-inch (or bigger) monitor/display that is currently out. I mostly prefer smaller monitors vice TVs for console...
Just received my monitor today, wow - what I can say - definitely impressed. I immediately used the settings from TFT along with their provided ICC. This monitor is exceptional, I've used just about every monitor out there (high end - professional grade) and I have to say this monitor stands...
Was able to get this monitor last night for $367 - $393 shipped. Looking forward to getting it, the TFT write-up on the 27-inch version gives a great overview of what to expect from the 25-inch version. The pixel density on this monitor is a nice gap filler - vice going 4K, IMO...
Kind of wonder did you get a bad screen. IMO, this is the best console monitor to come out, I have an HDMI switch hooked to an Xbox One and PS4 and they look stellar, great saturation, yet a realistic and natural tone throughout. I have had no issues at all with this monitor.
I'm in the process of moving, don't have my cameras and stuff. That said, I've used literally hundreds of monitors over the years, always top of the line at my work place. So this has jaded my view when it comes to buying monitors for my home use. I normally have very high end (professional...
This is why I never buy any of my monitors from NewEgg, they kind of suck when it comes to this stuff. Had problems with them last year on a video card, they are difficult to do an exchange or return with. I use Amazon 99% of the time anymore I am buying something, especially if it's something...
You guys are never going to be happy (EVER) with a monitor if you constantly, constantly look for a flaw of some sort - kind of obsessive to a degree. If you have only noticed this via GE on one set of GEO coordinates, I would imagine the monitor works rather well. This forum causes us to be...
Heads-up for anyone interested, saw this a short bit a go on sale for today only:

Remember, this display does 4K at 30hz only.
Picked this up on sale via Amazon earlier in the week. I was looking for a replacement and something different than my HP 27xi, going to give that to my son. I typically have a 27-inch 1080p for a lot of console gameplay and first person shooters and then a 2K/4K for my other type of games...
I've been saying that as well, $1,300 is an astronomical amount for this monitor - totally not worth it, not even close. There are several other options out there 4K and others that are a better buy.
Odd that you say that, the speakers on my 29-inch are absolutely exceptional for a monitor, I typically use Logitech Z-5500s and the speakers on this monitor sounded great IMO, in comparison.
I want this monitor and can easily afford it, though to me, $1,300 is a tremendous amount of money for a PC monitor. Technology moves so fast, soon they'll have something out much more superior to this monitor. I just bought the 29-inch version, though I'm debating between keeping it or the...
Just purchased the LG 29UM65 earlier tonight via Best Buy. Damn, this monitor is a monster, absolutely incredible colors and clarity. I wanted the 2560x1080 version, I liked the pixel density of the 29-inch version, more so than the 34. I have my PS4 hooked to it and I'm exceptionally impressed...
Yes, Dell has become too big to fail (succeed) better yet, used to be a fan of theirs, not anymore. It's crazy how big and overwhelming they have become, it's sickening in all actuality. Massive oversight, glad you pointed this out, was ready to buy one - good to know it lacks the ability to...
Spec wise and it being a true 16x10 IPS 99% sRGB for under $300, I'll take my chances. I also love the fact that is has two HDMIs as well, PS4 and PS3 connections, prefer playing console games on PC monitors.
I just can't see this monitor being worth it over say an HP 27xi, just can't see the price difference being worth it. Realize it's G-sync, though I was able to get my 27xi for $189, less than half of what this unit is costing. That said, maybe for enthusiasts who are pushing 144fps in most games.

This looks like an exceptional choice, it was on sale earlier this week for $269, I regret not buying one myself.
That's what I meant, in game shots. This monitor is exceptional, I have to say, I'm much more impressed with this year's version. That said, please don't buy this monitor thinking it will look good at 2880x1620, it looks like crap in this mode, don't know what it really would be useful for in...
Purchased the EQ276WN tonight via Micro-Center for $399, I can confirm this monitor does do 2880 x 1620 though it looks nowhere near as sharp and defined as the native resolution which the edid shows at 2560 x 1440. I owned the original EQ276W, and I do like this new version a lot better. Has a...
I own this monitor and the Dell U2440L and they are close in clarity. I don't think this monitor has a filter between the glossy panel - I just don't see it. That said, this is a great monitor though the black levels are really poor compared to the Dell.
