This.
I really don't understand why Intel never makes the "extreme" editions extreme at all. When I think of the word extreme, 10% better than everything else doesn't cut it. FFS, for the price of ONE extreme processor, you can make TWO workstations using the second-best processor, overclock...
Excellent reply? スタート is never pronounced "tsutaato" and never will be.
ス = su
タ = ta
ー = vowel lengthener for previous vowel (in this case, "a" in "ta" becomes "aa")
ト = to
The guy's talking out of his ass and knows about as much...
You could always sell me one of them for cheap. Just sayin :p
EDIT: Scratch that. Bought THIS SET instead from Amazon for $76.99 shipped (new, 3rd party seller). Take that, California sales tax!
WTF? Does the person above even know how to speak/write Japanese? There are equivalents for all those things listed, even though they "literally" mean something else. This is the same for all language: literal translations =/= translations of meaning. Does it mean the same thing, though? Yes...
I think you should reconsider and add at least one drawer, even if a small one underneath the PC itself. I have a very beautiful tempered glass L-desk with aluminum frame that is great... except for all the stuff I have on top of it in-between cleanup sessions because there's nowhere to hide it...
I want more depth, but more importantly, non-shitty voice acting. Stop hiring your relatives and friends who can't even read properly for voice acting positions, gaming companies...
So you made this thread simply to bash AMD/ATI?
Fact of the matter is, you need to either do your research better or find someone to do it for you. The situation you're in has nothing to do with AMD videocards' lack of multiple DVI-D inputs, but in your lack of finding out what you should've...
And how about addressing point #1? We already discussed #2 for you in your absence. Seriously dude, just wtf @ spending that much money without making sure it works with your other components. I might as well buy a 3960X to go with my S775 motherboard
I hope it doesn't increase to 100. The main reason I joined [H] instead of just lurking forever is for the FS/FT section, and seeing "100 posts required" likely would've just made me look at another similar forum instead.
It will definitely increase the amount of useless spam posts going on...
I personally cannot stand when someone removes their selling price after making a sale. What exactly is the point of this? Because it's really counter-productive for future sellers and future buyers both.
Are you serious with that?!
The seller better cover that, if he's gonna ship me a piece of dogshit to begin with. (Just saying, in case they aren't -- I haven't looked to see what their terms are.) If his lazy ass would use $5 worth of bubble wrap, $90 worth of shipping could've been avoided.
I voted for No, as I just bought a used i5 combo.
I was almost going to go AMD (it'd be a first, not counting the AMDs I have to repair for clients), because I'm getting a little fed up with Intel gouging customers with extremely small upgrades just because AMD continues to drop the ball...

Thank you to spacecowboy for posting about this in the Newegg thread.
I realize this, similar to buying 2133 sticks atm. Right now I'm on DDR1 (emergency rig), so anything is a step up as far as I'm concerned...
Also, unless the rest of your system is pimped up the ass with top of the line stuff, getting the fastest possible RAM should be your last priority...
While people with these panels are actively viewing this, what did you buy (or already have) to hook this up to a US electrical outlet? Just wondering if it doesn't matter what I buy for that stuff (since tbh I've never had to do it before)
Though it made me laugh, that's actually a great solution in case this guy didn't already buy 3x $120 adapters without breaking a sweat. It'd be slightly more cost for a lot more performance and resale value, provided his motherboard allows it.
Ah, thank you for pointing out the timings, as I actually didn't even notice that. Was just browsing, as I'm in California and this deal is even less "Warm" to those of us who have to pay state sales tax :mad:
The $10 off at least makes it kinda like I didn't pay tax to begin with, though :)...
Hrmm alright then, I'm sorry for being so harsh. But think about it: the guy has 3 displays, then cries about the $1000+ videocards he just bought not working with them as he wanted them to. It's called "look before you leap"...
Frustration at AMD? I'd be more frustrated at yourself for
1) Not doing enough research before spending a shitload of money
and
2) Not being the least bit concerned that you wouldn't even be in this situation if not for your "gaming" marketed monitors lacking DisplayPort inputs
Yeah, instead of moving to SB-e or waiting for the (likely not-that-impressive tick phase) IB, I'll just buy myself a used 2500K combo, overclock the shit out of it, and then get a 7990 when they're released. Thanks, guys!
Bump.
Thanks for responding to my PM, but just a bit too far for me to drive (considering I'd have to borrow the truck from my neighbor, who owes me anyway for fixing his computer for free so many times).
GLWS
Anyone know which architecture will smoke a 2500K?
Replaced my gf's computer with a 2500K last year and am looking to replace my own now. Would really rather have it be much better than a processor I bought a year ago.
Hrmm I guess my price was a bit low.
I meant more that if this were an inexpensive solution for people who do not already have the budget ($500+) for a gaming computer, I can see it taking off. But with console gamers already owning PS3/XBox/Wii and Steam not having near the amount of variety...
lol :D
But tbh, I know some people who would be into this if it was <$100 and still had the power of a 7970. I'd even buy one, if that were the case (but it won't be :P)
