In the blog I pretend to write, I invented an unnamed insider source that said the Google store will have unusual entry procedures. Upon stepping into the door, you'll have to surrender your driver's license, credit cards, social security card, and birth certificate. After the documents are...
The first point's good enough. :) It just gets silly to see this crazy, "OMG women are feminists and nazis and want to rule the world so none of us can burp, fart, hit things with sticks!" in any thread that has anything to do with women or girls. There are lots of other ways for a...
I only got interested in computer stuff because, when I was a tiny little Skribbel barely 3 feet tall, my brother wanted someone who was easy to beat in games and was all like, "Come on Skribbel, we have to play BF3 so you can die a lot and I can LOL at you! Here, use this lame spare computer...
No kidding. Maybe he already has a nice job someplace else? Anyhow, his work is pretty much awesome.
I don't wanna stack the argument in my favor. It's sort of unfair so yeah, I admit it's debatable about what makes something a game and someone playing it a gamer. Then again, you do make...
You have strange friends and family. o.O We're gonna have to agree to disagree with what does and doesn't constitute gaming. I think that Vista sidebar thing where you move tiles around to make the picture complete can get pretty hardcore. There are also tons of flash-based games in the...
It might have been an acorn, but where did it come from?! It could have fallen from the sky holding uping machine that is malfunctioning and making acorns instead of holding up the sky!
It's true. I don't really see a huge performance hit with games inside of PoL. My Sony Vaio laptop's Pentium M at 1.7 GHz and the GMA 915 seem able to cope with it. Just for the record, The Sims Complete Collection ran great and so did Master of Orion 3. Both work fine at max settings though...
I count pretty much anything as PC gaming that is a program designed to entertain. That includes things like Solitaire. Drawing a line somewhere and saying, "This is 'real' gaming and this isn't always seemed silly to me." I guess that weighs stuff favorably to my argument about pretty much...
That's okay! :) I think that the numbers of consoles versus the numbers of PCs are pretty telling though. There are a lot more PCs around, like 90% of homes versus around 56% of all consoles, not just the Xbox. You could and prolly should argue that not everyone uses their PC for games and...
Wife? Do cats count? My cat lives with me and he's awesome. He doesn't have his naughty bits so he's not very manly. Though he is cute. (Just don't tell him I said that.)
Though, that is a pretty awesome name! :)
Steam for Linux is great and has been totally painless to use so far. Valve might eventually turn into a huge evil company (or could be already) but for now they're probably going in the right direction. Linux and hopefully Valve will both benefit from this by moving gaming away from...
Consoles have really awful touch points. The controller is a horrible idea and one of the worst (aside from Kinect and anything Nintendo makes) things ever to be invented. The Xbox controller is possibly the dumbest of them all. I bet a lot of other people feel the way you do and won't spend...
I thought the librarytarians were trying to build their own island or something under the US bird poop act of 1840 or all live on that Sealand thing that the British built to blow up offshore geese before they docked in Portsmouth with their galleons. They don't need your facts to know the...
I have a feeling that a lot of people in that Ethopia and the Sudan are suddenly going to be named Ida B. Flagella, Arrr M. Pitts, Alias Incognito, or Bigus Digus.
Who gets hired depends a lot on the field of work. For management positions, old angry people are probably better because, speaking from personal experience, no one takes someone who doesn't look like they have a foot in a grave very seriously. They pat you on the butt and thank you for the...
Computers are pretty much everywhere. Consoles aren't everywhere. At least in the US, Steam has much larger potential market by being cross-platform.
Only about 56% of US households have a current generation gaming console and those are not all of one brand or another. Like almost 90% of...
Gee thanks you two! :D
That's good to know! Spending a little time at a community college isn't really a bad idea since there's some culture shock going from high school straight into a university. I went the same route but got an associates before going to another college.
Didn't Austria try that with their whole national proxy thing? For a different reason, but they wanted to keep their kangaroos from downloading anime and stick to buying really big knives to kill crocodiles.
I'm not an expert in the GED thing, but I believe home schooled children end up with a GED. That prolly depends on the state they're living in and the laws of that specific state. They're then able to go to colleges after they get their GED. It doesn't have a huge stigma everywhere.
I'm not sure that's true given the statement already issued, but your dialogue between Valve and nVidia/AMD in a previous post, probably from industry insider sources,
I don't see why you want to insult me. As I recall, the other thread about which you're speaking involved a heated...
Very few women are feminists and even fewer of them are psychos about it.
[QUTOE]Also, men are taught to STFU and be a man about it. That's solid advice until girls keep their nagging rights. So, when it comes to equality, we are starting to get our asses handed to us big time. And no one...
How is not expressing an opinion or getting into a silly, irate debate about the merits of a console trolling? How is seeking out people to argue with over the yawnfest console vs PC thing useful or in some way contributes to a thread?
Why? Shouldn't boys be outside hitting things with sticks instead of inside offices dressed in nice clothing talking about how they're going to market something by appealing to a potential customer's emotions? :D
Who needs a few movies when you can probably only finish watching one before the battery is dead? :D Microsoft smartly limited storage to keep the storage in line with the system's endurance.
The people who feel strongly about computers, consoles, and playing video games who will debate the merits of this or that with you are not named SkribbelKat.
