Replaced my Vega FE with an Asus Turbo 2080ti (thanks to catching an $800 eBay listing) and it has Samsung memory, so I think I really lucked out.
Definitely feeling excited to pick up Ryzen 3700X (or a 3600 if reviews reveal it's the $/perf hero I think it might be) and complete my upgrade...
I just hadn't seen that. And I don't understand why the drivers installed don't "see" the updated drivers that have since come out... but oh well. I'll give 18.6 a try soon and hope for Freesync to actually work for me...
My monitor is supposed to be cleared for 80-100Hz Freesync, but even back at that range I get blanking, so I'm just turning off Freesync for now and enjoying the 60+Hz that I wanted from the monitor in the first place.
Maybe I can get something to work with new drivers down the road, but I am...
So far so okay with my Vega FE. My only issue is tied to Freesync which is causing blanking in games. I suspect this is tied to my monitor, which I've used CRU to increase the Freesync range to 40-100Hz and maybe that's just not viable.
If anyone has some suggestions, I hope to do more...
This was gonna be my choice until a Viotek came along under $400 that I couldn't say no to. No regrets so far, but this one will stay on my radar should anything go wrong.
Curious to know how things are going with 18.Q2 drivers and if anyone is using more recent game driver with their FE.
I've got one showing up next week...
I would contact Acer immediately just to see if they can diagnose the source of the sound easily, but especially if anything goes wrong, best to be in front of the issue with the company to try and get warranty service or replacement.
Dude... you kinda were. And then followed it up with being condescending. It's a fantasy thread. There's nothing to argue about here unless you create something.
What you're describing sounds like it would be best solved with 1 1440x900 on left, 1 2560x1440 in center, and 1 more 1440x900 on right. The side monitors are flipped to vertical to keep things 1440 all the way across.
I can't point you to brands, but would this resolution fit your theoretical...
I went Ultrawide, but already had a compatible 2560x1440, and because they're just so reasonably priced, I added another to extend out to 8000 pixels across my setup. Only game on the 3440, but I do enjoy having lots of real estate for various projects (editing, writing, etc.).
Does anyone think we'll actually see a proper review before these hit the street?
Not that I would drop this kind of money without seeing ample reviews, but Dell probably already has plenty of business client orders for this thing just waiting, so they might push it out regardless of any flaws...
Looking at the pricing on the 2016 LG OLED TVs I'm not sure I could justify a purchase of one of those and one of these this year. Going to be tough to pick one... as I'm sure it will spoil me for the other.
I'm pretty sure once I go OLED, I won't be able to tolerate much else...
Maybe Black...
French article says it won't hit the market until potentially Q3.
Mais où est le moniteur Oled de Dell ?
Translation: "The Dell UltraSharp monitor UP3017Q is the first OLED monitor the market. Its 30-inch panel displays Ultra HD resolution of 3840 x 2160 px, a 0.1 ms response time, viewing...
Sounds way more like a Displayport cable issue than anything else. You say you've tried many cables, but can you confirm you've used one certified for DP 1.2 with as short a length as possible?
I, for one, look forward to seeing what Polaris can deliver at the top end. It'd be nice to have a viable product for Freesync ultrawides so I can avoid the Gsync tax when it comes time to make that move.
Unrelated to the gpu question, I want to suggest not getting a platter HDD unless you really need loads of room. If you can make do with a 1tb SSD, that is what I'd suggest.
I run a 512gb OS SSD, Then a 1tb SSD for games and programs and the like, and then just use an external or two for...
I'd say talk to the salesperson when you go in and ask what kind of assurances they can give you. If they can't convince you it's a safe situation, then bail.
Thanks, Vega, for the latest rundown on your experience. This sounds like a delightful piece of hardware. I hope to have one down the road (or whatever is on the market when things line up better) to replace my flat 21:9.
See if it plays the games you want to play at a good framerate for you. Then keep it or sell it based on that.
Sounds like you got a deal. If you can use the card, then you win.
Can you explain your issues? I'm not on this screen, but am using a 1440 ultrawide, and am not having any issues with Battlefront at all... so just checking to see if I can help.
