I'm using the chilli's version for
000:000:25.0 Ethernet controller Network controller: Intel Corporation 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection [vmnic0]
Class 0200: 8086:1502
Could be sometimes unstable?
I found my esx crashed after some network interruptions.
Thats the real question, how many iops need?
I got a working server with proxmox, how can I see how many IOPS are needed to replace that box?
I'm planing to replace my proxmox machine with esx5 but still, I ve doubts.
Proxmox its ok with linux guest, but for windows it sucks.
Also proxmox...
Im planing to use that debian to paravirtualize 2 other debians more with openvz.
Is that good?
I really like openvz.
So I will have
esxi5->Win7
->winxp(*)
->Debian-Openvz->ispconfig appliance
->gameserver
->vps(*)
Yes, im using e1000g for nfs-esxi5, (well and for everything else).
(Sync is disabled)
I wonder should I use nfs?, with scsi could work faster?.
Also if I dont use zfs, just ext4 raid 1 soft, would be faster?.
I think something is wrong with the perfomance.
I got 2x1tb sata mirror openindiana nfs server
On a guest debian I got this results
Version 1.96 ------Sequential Output------ --Sequential Input- --Random-
