    I'm eagerly awaiting your review, NCX. I've tried the Dell, Asus, and Viewsonic so far (nine units in total) and have had bad luck with all of them. Trying to decide on my next move: BenQ or Samsung at $700 each, vs. Qnix/X-star at half that.

    ViewSonic VP2770: 2560x1440 Semi-Glossy PLS

    I decided to go with the Asus for almost $200 less ($629 vs. $799)... but it won't be in stock at Amazon.ca for a while. So if the price comes down on the VP2770 in the mean time, I might cancel my order and go with it. I'm staying away from the Dell due to the buzz and cross hatching.

    Yeah, it's great for US customers, but the more I think about it, the more I'm worried about cross-border exchanges and shipping costs should there be a problem (which frankly seems likely with ANY of the current crop of 27" 1440 monitors).
