I have to recommend the Mionix series. I own the 8200 but the 3200 optical would probably serve you very well. It's on the cheaper side and has the same build quality and design as the rest. It's very comfortable and ergonomic with its tilt and ring and pinky finger rests.
Thank you for this. This is definitely important when making your decision. You don't want a mouse, as great as it may be, to be uncomfortable for any length of time.
I will say one thing. Look at my name. Boomslang. Yeah, the classic Razer gaming mouse--one of the first. I used the Logitech...
NEC LCD2490WUXI2-BK
24" monitor with 12-bit LUT, 8 ms response time, great height/tilt/swivel stand for portrait orientation, color uniformity correction, not wide gamut (a plus for most), amazing color accuracy and contrast--especially with the Spectraview II custom calibrated for this monitor...
Really looking forward to playing Metro Last Light. I'm sure my new specs will help but I'm stuck with the Twin Frozr II (1 GB) 560 ti. I was really hoping the 760 ti would come out soon enough that I could wait a week or two, buy and install, and enjoy Metro to its fullest. Now I'm not so sure...
See I read that the M60 was awesome and that for some reason they changed the sensor in the M65 and introduced tons of problems. I'm enjoying my time with the Mionix Naos 8200 so far. Grabbed the mousepad for it as well even though my Vespula worked well with it, it was getting old and scratchy...
For what it's worth I'm coming from 3 dead DeathAdders and I recently picked up a RAT 7. I liked the feel and customization options, but nothing fit quite right. I just got annoyed because every day I was swapping or adjusting something. The Kone looks nice. I picked up a Mionix Naos 8200 and...
After demoing them at Fry's (inside their packages) I've realized that I do like the Mionix Naos line of mice. Seem to be very comfortable. Opinions? Especially on the new 8200. I know the others have +acceleration.
What I've been reading online has said they haven't changed much but build quality in the new "S" version of their "G" line of products. Therefore, the sensor still presumably has intermittent negative acceleration. Now, I do use really high DPI when I can. The RAT 7's 6400 is great and the...
I used to own a Razer... Boomslang (surprise) when I was younger. After that I moved onto an old Logitech MX518 equivalent until it bit the dust. Then I went back to Razer for the DeathAdder. Really love that mouse. However, I've been through 3 at this point due to the multi-click during single...
I've got an old Q6600 that's at 3.2ghz right now comfortably and probably could go a bit higher but it's starting to really struggle in AAA games now paired with a 560ti. I'm wondering what the benefit of waiting for the Haswells would be vs a hexacore or just a $300 3k whatever is. Anyone?
The quality is definitely on part. It has been discussed a lot but the 2490wuxi2 is nearly the same. Only issue is that it doesn't have an A-TW polarizer. However, unless you look at all black screens all the time from seriously far angles, you WON'T notice the small amount of extra glow. The...
Check your private message inbox. I actually might own a solution to your problem and be willing to part with it. Don't mess with ebay. CCFL is definitely superior to LED as far as eye strain goes. It's just much easier to deal with and the AG coating isn't as noticeable. I feel like the LED...
I agree. Running 720p would probably help as everything would appear larger but still is not ideal. Also, be careful because leaving the taskbar up could produce burn-in on the plasma. The games can as well but people are typically advised not to use a plasma as a monitor.
I owned a PX2370 and the color shift in that monitor was terrible. Otherwise, it was a good monitor. Knowing that it looks so bad from almost every viewing angle including head on (the top is clearly a different shade than the bottom) I doubt you would want 2 more of them in surround. I think...
Everyone keeps talking about OLED monitors but wouldn't that be a terrible idea if there's burn-in let alone image retention? It's the reason Plasma monitors aren't a thing.
As rare as non-PWM displays are on the desktop side-especially the pro side of desktop monitors-you may be better off using an external display. I wish I had a solution for you. Sorry.
Still a pretty awesome rig. Just keep in mind that with those korean monitors-which I would recommend in your case-are higher res as well (1440 not 1080). It's a great combo though with IPS color quality.
Looks like it took me too long to get here. I was going to suggest that something may be starting with windows and the program only remains on your desktop, not "Always on Top", in a micro-window situation. I've seen something like this before but closing the program fixed it. Do the old...
The TV artificially fills in the missing frames to make it smoother which is why you get frame skipping and hitching on most programs. It just looks bad. The new Hobbit movie is the first, I think, to film at 48fps instead of 24p. A lot of people complained about it. Only a few theaters showed...
I remember as a kid in school using CRT monitors I would "degauss" the monitor over and over again. The dwoing sound made it fun. LCD's don't need to do this.
In other words... deal with it.
I had the U2410 and returned it immediately because of horrible pink/green tint (newer rev. too). I then bought an NEC high-end for almost twice the price but it was too slow for gaming. Now I own the U2312HM. Couldn't be much happier. The AG coating isn't quite as bad as the U2410. It really...
I enjoyed gaming on my U2410 while I had it (recent revision with terrible tint). The colors do really pop. However, I think that you get a very similar effect by pumping up the colors with something like SweetFX on a typical RGB monitor. It works well because it alters directx shaders.
I would recommend either the U2312HM or U2412M. Both have low input lag and low ms response times. I own the 23" and can vouch it's seemingly just as fast as my old Samsung TN which was a 2ms monitor. You can trust me since I'm very anal when it comes to motion, delay, and color (graphic...
Considered the U2312HM? Only issue for you would be that it's not glossy or semi-glossy. It can reach 75hz and has the lowest input lag of monitors in its class.
It is usually worth the risk. I've had more local monitors with dead pixels honestly but I'm sure it's just coincidence. If you want the best pixel policies go with Dell.
I chose the U2312HM over the U2412M. One of the main reasons was because people said both have backlight bleed and glow but they're worse on the 24" because it's larger. It is a shame this monitor has bleed in the lower right corner and from most angles it's pretty bad. Otherwise, I like not...
At least it has uniformity correction. The U2410 that I bought and promptly returned was so terrible with the green/pink color shift even after calibration. Should be a step up.
