Thanks for the tip.
I plugged it in for an hour with no signs of problems. No speakers, no sound, but also it stayed lit and didn't give off smoke, so I guess that's the best I can hope for,
Wait. . .so does that mean it will work with an 8-ohm amp/receiver? I'm in the market for small speakers for my old receiver that's been in my closet for a few years, waiting for me to buy speakers for it.
In all seriousness, they go on sale somewhere for under $55 literally every week. The other sales forums I frequent kind of get mad at how often they are posted, but they get posted anyway, because everyone who owns them tells them to let it go, they're WORTH posting about.
Love mine with my...
I had the 8323's for a year, then they got so stretched out they would fall off my head. They were OK, sound-wise. I was all excited to get them, but in the end, I didn't get their hype. The Philips are so much better. The 8323's were so plastic-y, they creaked constantly as plastic rubbed...
If you're listening in your house, open-air headphones are great. Ppl calling for you, ppl at the door, ppl breaking in at night. . . it's good to hear things around you sometimes. Also, I believe the open-air design is what helps the soundstage. I don't own very expensive headphones, but...
I don't have any experience with the Hensley, but I find the Jennings to be a bit short from front-to-back. It's just about my only complaint, but it's an annoying one. (I'm 6'3" tall.)
I used to use a g15, had the screen customized to show day, date, time, volume, internet UL/DL speeds, weather for my area, free space on my HDD's, thread and RAM use, etc. Picked up an Orion Spark and used my old cell phone for an ARX display. Man, they're dropping the ball with ARX. I can't...
Thanks. I didn't get to try any of them out. I went with the Jennings because of the adjustable armrests, but in truth, it seems a little short, from front to back. I thought maybe it's because of the 'waterfall' edge, as I've never had one of them before, but in reading the measurements, I...
Great. In all my years here, that's literally the first time I've helped someone save a little money on something. Weird :D
Kind of curious, though, to see if I'm missing something: why is everyone getting the Hensley over the Jennings? The Jennings has adjustable armrests (though they...
Yeah man, I'm kinda floggin' the ex-equine pretty hard at this point, but I just can't say it enough: "bonded leather" is shit. If you don't understand exactly what bonded leather is, do yourself a favor and look it up. It's only technically leather. It's the leather version of that wood they...
Well, maybe this will be to your liking:

$169.99, and there's a 20% off code for one QUALIFYING item in your cart if you sign up with them, I think. . .let me look into it a sec. . .OK, I think if you type...
Heh, I'm from Pittsburgh. Used to go to Trader Jack's flea market. I wouldn't have to wait too long before someone showed up with some old office furniture. Now I'm in a small town more than an hour from a big city. People post friggin' wasp nests on Craigslist, with not a decent chair in...
Thanks. It's on my wish list now. Hopefully I'll catch a sale in the next few months.
EDIT: Poking around, I found it cheaper at Wal-Mart's site - about $80 cheaper.

There's no taking care of 'bonded leather'. It's ground up leather, glued together, then a thin plastic film is put over it and a leather pattern is pressed/heated into it. Bonded leather is a complete waste, and the ONLY reason for it to exist is for the seller to be able to say it's made of...
"For how sturdy it felt." Are you saying it didn't feel sturdy enough for such an expensive chair? That's kind of the point of buying a 'fat bastard' chair.
Where'd you get a Steelcase for $75? I know it was used, but was it a local deal? I looked around Ebay, but so many listed were...
Yeah, my bad. I thought those seams were supposed to be smooth leather, but I see now that they did something else with it, and they look very similar to a new chair.
Judging from the wear on Archaea's pics, it might be 'bonded' leather. I'd MUCH rather have some synthetic material or cloth than ground up and glued together leather, stamped with a leather pattern. It's not structurally sound and flakes to pieces in short order.
Geez, I'd like a good chair...
Anyone have any info on the shortage, when they might get production up enough to impact supply and price? Looking to put a build together in the spring, and I'm hoping they might have increased production by then.
I've got 3 seasons of PA, and the single table High Speed 2: The Getaway. I've played with Future pinball. I just love pinball.
What do you think of this Pro Pinball Ultra? I've never even heard of it.
Hey, I'm running those now! I like 'em a lot, and they're like 12 years old now. Only problem I've had was the 3.5mm jack in the sub sort of broke loose from the circuit board and it crackles and loses signal when you wiggle the wire. Tried to fix it, but it didn't last. I just have to avoid...
Thanks. If they halved $180, that would still be a good deal on that keyboard. Anything below $100 and I'll bite immediately. I've been watching prices and had auto-notify alerts up on FW and SD forums for a couple months now. I wouldn't object to a full-sized, backlit Corsair with multimedia...
Some places are calling it one of the best AV of the year.
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2470312,00.asp
I just installed it for a test drive today, as it's supposed to be quite lightweight and particularly good at blocking malicious URLs. Any problems I've had with infection in the...
Huh. I think I've had ONE false positive in the year I've used it - not counting keygens, which most AV flag as dangerous. A file from the Battlefield 2 mod "AIX 2.0" Also, NOD32 rates very highly in "false positives" testing. It had ONE, which no other antivirus topped...
Can I buy this now and register a year from now? I JUST bought and registered yesterday, but this is a GREAT deal I'd like to line up for when my current 1-year license runs out.
Well said. Get this game if you love the movies, not because you want to play a great game. Ackroyd & Ramis did script-doctoring, and there's a TON of dialog from all 4 Ghostbusters, Janine, Mr. Peck, etc. With the death of Harold Ramis and the rumored reboot of the franchise starring an...
Well, they are certainly catering to the high-end mouse market. I'll keep an eye on them - maybe they'll have added a few more buttons to new mice by the time I'm ready to buy again. Thanks, I had been unfamiliar with them until now.
Well, I suppose now's a good time as any to ask. You have found a product you think is superior to Logitech, so clue me in. I've bought Logitech all these years because of the features, quality, and the supposedly great customer service. Since my mouse failed after 4 months and I didn't get a...
Well, it's a clanmember's lightly-used mouse, if that makes you feel any better. I didn't purchase a new one. I'll have to start keeping up with new mice though, so I'll be better prepared when I need another. Maybe a R.A.T. . . .
This got under my skin because I've used nothing but...
I sent it back.
I DL'ed the latest drivers, and updated the firmware under win7-64. Updated fine, as you said it would.
Liked the overall feel of the mouse A LOT. Just felt good in use, and thought it might prove to be more accurate in game. It felt more of a natural extension than my...
Thanks, delivery is today. I had planned on spending more time choosing one, but I found it on steep discount, so I grabbed it. Hope it works out. I've heard good things about SteelSeries mice and the associated software, so I took the plunge.
I found out AFTER the purchase that it doesn't...
Well, how am _I_ supposed to know who an "Authorized Reseller" is? I bought it through the Amazon website, which I would think is a reasonably respectable place. It's true the purchase was made through another company on Amazon, but it's not like I bought it at a "fell-off-a-truck" price. I...
I bought a new G700s in January, but recently, the cursor started freezing at random for 5-second intervals. After consulting with Logitech and troubleshooting, they decided the mouse needed replacement, but they would not honor the warranty, as the company I bought it through on Amazon was...
I CANNOT for the life of me remember where i saw it, but I read a thread somewhere where someone took the screen out and used it - allegedly. There were a series of pics that weren't quite detailed enough to allow someone to duplicate it, and there weren't any responses to follow-up questions...
That monitor you suggested is not going to work like the G19 LCD, it will just act like a painfully small monitor. There are cheaper and smaller LCD screens out there than the one you posted - ones that won't act like a monitor - the problem is the support for them. They won't do anything at...
