You can't really prevent miners from eating up stock. There really isn't any way to know the intentions of the buyer. Most retailers have a 2 card limit per order but that's only a minor annoyance.
What they really need to do is institute a queue of sorts. Instead of simply notifying you via...
There is no way they could enforce this anyway even if they wanted to.
Best they could do was a little popup when you are adding to cart "Do you intend to use this card for mining?"..... ummm.. lemme check that NO box... muahahahahaha!!!
Any code changes to the drivers to purposely tank...
Sorry but you are mistaken. They have an image in the article that says the S5 achieves 650 Khash/watt vs the i7-2600's 210 Khash/watt. Unless 40 phones use 4 watts (no way in hell) they are rating the phones at 2600 Khash/sec each. Still a horrible waste of time either way.
I also benchmarked...
Wow... anything to create some buzz I guess.
2600 Khash/sec per phone @ 4 watts each.
2600 Khash/sec x 40 = 104000 Khash/sec
4 watts x 40 = 160 Watts or 0.16 KW/h
0.16 KW/h x 24 hours in a day = 3.84 KW used per day
Local power cost is $0.12 KW/h which is on the low to midrange cost in the...
Whats up with the distortion on the short video loops? The one of the rock climber you can clearly see the top edge of the rocks he's climbing and the sky sort of bend then snap back as the loop repeats. Same with the lower part of the brick wall behind the girl's legs. I'd imagine the same...
The Hendo hoverboard is much cooler. It's still a far cry from the hoverboard in back to the future but at least it's rideable over the entire surface if it's metal covered. This useless lexus board is on rails. I imagine most of those falls were caused by the riders attempting to turn the board...
If you look at the board in the video at the bottom of the cup it's just a generic Arduino lilypad like the one linked below. Not only is this complete overkill for a imbedded solution but also far too costly to be just giving away to drunkards for some silly facebook promotion. I call...
