For sale is a brand new unused HP t410 thin client. The unit was purchased in December 2012 and has never been powered on!

- HP t410/RFX/HDX/Smart ZC (H2W23AA#ABA)
- HP keyboard (US)
- HP mouse
- Power supply
- Sealed manual and CD
- Purchased Dec 2012 so it is covered by HP warranty...
I just want to check today's bandwidth stats.
Total In: 27.21MB
Total Out: 670.22MB
I guess the bandwidth from the thin client 27.21 MB makes sense as it's only keyboard and mouse that's transferred, but I'm surprised that the bandwidth to the thin client is so high.
The thin client doesn't...
I've been offered a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 white 8GB, but I'm not sure whether to accept it as there is a sticker on the side of the box that reads "Not For Resale".
The package is completely sealed and has stickers on the sides with void if seal broken.
What's the significance of the...
Jay_oasis it took me a little while but I got a quick Cacti install going using CactiEZ.
For testing purposes I have my MacBook Air connected as the only device to one of the ports on the procurve and then the switch is connected to the rest of the network.
I added "SNMP - Interface...
@/usr/home I've never used port mirroring but it seems that the 1810g-8 supports it. The only thing is that I need a device on the destination port to receive the packets for processing.
@j-sta RDP to a standalone Windows XP virtual machine.
@Jay_oasis I saw that it support SNMP in the manual...
I need to temporarily (1-2 weeks) measure the bandwidth a thin client produces when connected to the network. The thin client is a Wyse C10LE and it is connected to an HP Procurve 1810g-8.
I don't think that I can do it on the C10LE and I'm not sure if the 1810g-8 has any feature for...
Is there such a thing as a hardware USB NIC dongle (can be WIFI or ethernet) whose MAC can be programmed?
I know it's possible to spoof a mac address using ifconfig on linux, but I'm looking for a hardware type solution if one exists.
Thanks
OP even though this might not be what you're after I thought I'd mention it for interest.
Zach Holman at GitHub has created a central music system called Play. Yes, it relies on a Mac server and iTunes but nonetheless it's very cool and has clients for all types of OSs. Also, it can be used to...
Hi
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question, so admins if you need to move it please do ;)
As my title suggests is there any way to modify a Huawei USB modem so that it is inside a laptop rather than connected to an external USB port?
Thanks
k1pp3r I'll have a look at DevonIT.
Just to clarify there are no "old laptops" in use, so I'll be purchasing "new" laptops and then converting them to thin clients. Alternatively buying "ready-made" laptop thin clients such as the Wyse X90M7.
The portable thin client market seems to be quite...
I'm researching portable laptop thin clients and so far I have
- Dell Wyse X90M7
- Igel Universal Desktop Convertor (UDC)
The latter option requires purchase of any laptop that is then converted into a thin client using UDC.
Has anyone used Igel's UDC?
Any other laptop thin clients that are...
Opps sorry my phrasing was not the best there. What I meant to say was that the calls between user1 and user2 would be free or cheaper than regular outgoing calls.
Your suggestion to use VoIP phones/ softphones is one I have also thought about when I mentioned the company OnSIP. OnSIP's...
Thanks for explaining.
What you say regarding Tropo's strength is very valid and makes me wonder whether I should draw up a simple system and create a POC that I can test.
There isn't a set budget and my time isn't really a factor as this is for a family member. What I can tell you is that the...
My telephony knowledge is limited, so excuse my stupid questions.
The solution that you describe above, e.g. freepbx hosted in the cloud + ITSP is that more or less equivalent to developing my own solution on top of Tropo's platform? In other words, freepbx offers a whole load of features and...
This service is only offered to US customers after speaking to them. Thanks anyway.
RingCentral is also a no-go after speaking with them in the US and UK. They only support those countries and Canada.
At the moment my best bet seems to be with Tropo who are world aware in terms of...
Thanks for the suggestion I spoke with their US chat and they don't offer support for Scandinavia. I will contact their UK office tomorrow and see what they say.
I need to find a hosted telephone system (pbx I guess) for a small company (2 users) that does not have a central office location, e.g. each user works from home and is considered mobile.
The way their current telco hosted system works is that there is one main office number given to clients...
Hi
I have Github Gollum on my Mac after following the installation instructions. However, I would like to install gollum on an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server and allow users to access the wiki internally.
I'm not familiar with Ruby, so I don't know what's required to set this up. Any help is...
Yes with everyone's help here I have finally got it!
@aggiec05 have you used this thin client?
I have two things I would like to know:
- There is a Firefox web add-on that can be installed so there is a local browser on the thin client.
What I'd like to know is if a user can multitask between...
Hmm thanks for finding that. I thought VMware View used PCoIP, so what does HP mean when they say VMware View as opposed to PCoIP?
Sorry if it's obvious.
EDIT: I think I got it after re-reading your post. The 22 is VMware View via PCoIP and the 23 is VMware VIew via RDP, so in my case the 23...
You guys have been great and given me more information than anyone I've spoken to thus far!
@obrith On HP's site it just says it has a Teradici chip, but doesn't specify if it is a per model feature.
@lucidrenegade I don't have VMware View and will be connecting via RDP/ RemoteFX to Windows...
I'm looking to purchase some new HP t410 thin clients.
I'm completely confused regarding what differences there are between the different product numbers. I've been in touch with HP sales and tech support, but no one can give me an answer or point me to an available document that outlines the...
Thanks for sharing!
So is your SBS used for AD/DNS/DHCP, file & print, exchange, terminal server?
Do the users have fat PCs with Windows or thin clients?
dave99 would you mind sharing what types of VMs you typically run on one of those esxi hosts and whether you're solely responsible for that system working in terms of updates, troubleshooting etc. What ever you can share on a high level.
In terms of the OP's sized business are those of you who setup vSphere ESXi for your clients only running a single physical host?
I ask because I'm in a similar situation with 5 users on a single host and considering a new setup with 2 hosts and shared storage etc as I've outlined in this thread.
