Some Cisco IOS woes (corrupt image and such)

I hate to dig up an ancient thread like this but I couldn't help myself. So recently I decided to break out all my old Cisco gear and have a go at it again. Tonight I came across this old 806 I had in a box and have spent the last 3 hours trying to get the thing to boot. After digging around...

    Home cellular repeater

So soon I am going to be moving in to a new home and the cell signal is terrible at best indoors. On the good side of the house I get about -102dBm(maybe one bar and only "1X") and on the bad side even worse(signal drops completely). On my droid I walked around outside of the house and got up...

    Cisco 7200 Duplex Issue

Well I will say that with out manually placing the switch into full it was not negotiating correctly so it is something to watch out for.

    Cisco 7200 Duplex Issue

I figured it out, finally! Thanks to this post: http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t31023-collisions-with-full-duplex.html I had my cards in ports 3 and 4, I staggered them and now they are in 3 and 6 and no more errors after I forced all the ports to full duplex! Thank you all for the...

    Cisco 7200 Duplex Issue

Well my I/O card doesnt have any built in fast ethernet ports so I dont have any fa0/0 or fa0/1 interfaces. The router has 2 seperate single port FE cards and a FDDI-MM card but I dont have any fiber cables to use that. This is hurting my head, I just want to get it to work.

    Cisco 7200 Duplex Issue

Well that is what I have been doing, forcing the switch into full mode, as well as the router and that is when I get all of the late collisions. Also the "duplex auto" command is not valid.
  19. S

    Cisco 7200 Duplex Issue

Well Ive let the switch auto negoiate but the router I cant seem to remove the duplex full or the duplex half line, it just doesnt go away when I do "no duplex full" or half. Ive tried a couple different switches, none of them are cisco switches. Im useing an HP procurve.

    Cisco 7200 Duplex Issue

So Ive got a 7200 with 2x 1 port fast ethernet cards in it that Ive been playing with. Whats happening is when I plug the router into the switch the switch is setting the port to half duplex even though I have the port on the router set to full. If I force the port on the switch to full...

What about logs on the cable modem itself? Pull up 192.168.100.1 in your browser and you should get the modems internal webpage and youll find an event log there somewheres. You probably wont find much useful here but you never know.

    Cisco 7200 console cable

Yeah what I ended up getting in the box when I opened it today was: the 7206 2x FE cards 1x FDDI-MM card Standard I/O controller with no FE port He says he will be shipping the NPE-225, hopefully it'll arrive at the same time as my cable kit. By the way this thing is a beast, a lot heavier...

So just a quick question, without starting a new thread... My order on the router was messed up, long story short, I didnt end with with a NPE, but its being shipped. My question is will the router even power on with out an NPE installed? At the moment I can plug a power cord into it and the...

    Cisco 7200 console cable

It looks like this is what I need Ebay According to this Cisco doc "Note: The Cisco 7200 Series and Cisco 7301 are not shipped by default with a console cable kit. If a console cable is required, order an accessory kit (part number: ACS-2500ASYN)."

    PeerIX - Official thread

I wouldn't want to use it at all, or its just not recommenced? It has the NPE-225 which looks like was the fastest NPE for the non VXR version of the 7200s. This is just a small home network Im not really too worried about it going slow. I was actually using a 2514 for my router for a...

Heres a link to the auction of the router http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320452235891 The auction is pretty vague and the picture isn't the best, it just says it includes: fast ethernet card fdd-mm card fast ethernet input/output controller network processing engine 225...

So the other day I picked up a 7206 on ebay for about $55 so I could use it to help study for the ccna. Today Im sitting here waiting for it to ship and decided to take a look at the picture and I noticed that it doesn't use a rj45 console port but a db25! Well I have a standard cisco...
