Did you get 2560x1440 as an option, or did you set it up manually with a custom resolution? I never tried custom resolution. However, I was on an older GTX 580, which had no DP support. GTX 970s all have DP-support AFAIK.

I'm still running at 2048x1152 because I don't have any DP-slots on my graphics card and no active DP adapter, so I'm not a good reference. Sorry. The stand is great, and feels very sturdy, however I bought the Dell MSA14 because I wanted to reduce clutter on my table.

So I just got (2 of) this monitor, and thought I'd chime in and point out that 2560x1440 is not supported over HDMI on this monitor. Guess I'll have to upgrade my GPU then. :( (Active DP adapters would be almost equally expensive)

I've actually had bad memory cause 2TB of data corruption before it was detected. Luckily I had backups. The corruption would in fact show itself in spelling errors in documents, and random artifacts in movie files.

Well, it's an all-in-one, so the hypervisor and NAS is on the same machine, and I've heard the 1Gbit drivers actually perform closer to 3Gbit rather than 1Gbit(?)

Does Windows(NTFS) handle 4K automatically? How do other file systems do this? Is it just ZFS that needs it set manually?

I just ordered some DT01ACA300 drives. According to alot of different sources, these are 4k drives. Should I use ashift=12 on these? (and on the same note, has anyone else had any experience with these drives? - cant find a single review of them)

M1015 is the best HBA I've ever used, and I've had three HBAs so far! They were all M1015

Registered (buffered) is cheaper than unbuffered. I'd go with registered just to be sure, + the max memory ceil would be higher. Not sure if non-ECC will work, just thought I'd chime in.
