Any Evolv owners out there that can tell me if there's room to install LED strips behind the front panel? If so, would the light spill out from the side gaps in the front panel? Kind of like I've made below.
I do like a bit more bass sometimes since I listen to a lot of electronic music, so the pros are really handy for bumping it up as needed. I don't have audiophile ears, but there was a noticeable difference in sound quality when I upgraded from the ATH-m40's.That's the 40's, not the 50's. I...
It is! It feels so great typing on these. I jokingly asked a friend to look for an off-white IBM keyboard at an electronics recycling place and she found it! It had never been used but was missing the cable and the zero key on the numpad. Bought a usb cable that some guy makes and sells on ebay...
Yep, I drove quite far to buy it off craigslist a few years back. I had been thinking about getting a Galant, but Ikea has phased them out. I really like the gray ones with chrome A-legs.
Thanks for the info. I looked at the M200mkiii, but I don't think I'm willing to spend that much. Plus, I would still like to use the subwoofer at certain times and more in the future when I'm no longer living in an apartment.
The head of the screw is on the inside of the metal frame and it screws directly into the shelf bracket on the outside of the frame. You don't need any nuts because the bracket on the swivel shelf is internally threaded.
Shitty photo for reference:
These are the screws you want:

I'm not the seller and I already have one so I figured I would give a heads up to anyone in the area.
For anyone thinking about buying this, you can get the same thing branded as HP for about $40 cheaper in black.

Admittedly, I would also like to see a non-vented version, but I can't complain. This version should make it very easy to add a plain, full window. I've been eyeballing this case since it was announced and the lack of a side window was the only thing holding me back.
Looks like Corsair is releasing a windowed version of the 300R.

This website has a photo, but I'm not sure if it's accurate.

I have the AV40's and a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40fs headphones. With cans plugged in, I can turn up the volume knob on the 40's all the way and it isn't that loud. I also have a SB X-fi Titanium card and it doesn't drive my cans too well. I ended up getting a FiiO E9 since it has a 1/4"...
I agree, this case would be aces with a side window. I think I read somewhere that the rubber grommets for the 600T, etc. will fit on this case. Maybe you could PM a corsair rep. for confirmation.
Did you mod that side window on the 500R or is it a window kit? I've been looking at a kit on FrozenCPU.

There's no reviews for it, so I'm hesitant to buy. Also...
I'm not really sure I can answer that question since I'm not very knowledgeable in audio, but my headphones can only get so loud when connected to my PC. Plus, the built-in Windows volume control is a pain to use.
Okay, I'll probably skip the DAC then. I do game so I'd like to get the sound card since it has optical input to route PS3 audio through my PC speakers. How would I go about hooking up my speakers and the headphone amp to the sound card? Would I need a splitter cable or switcher? Would those...
Alright, so I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40fs headphones with a 1/4" plug. I plan on getting a Creative Labs SB0880 sound card. I also want to get a headphone amplifier. Do I need a DAC/amp combo with this setup or could I just get a headphone amp?
I've had my eye on the FiiO E9...
I already checked. Only one. I think someone in the warehouse just accidentally grabbed two. Each one was wrapped in plastic and they fit together when stacked so two of them could easily be mistaken for one.
Indeed. I'm still in disbelief that I actually own a Jerker, especially with the extra pieces. It's a big step up from a cheap particle board desk from my college days.
Thanks! I just picked up a third side shelf off craigslist just for the hell of it. Couldn't pass up a rare item. Now I...
I've asked this here before, but never got an answer so I'll try again...
What are the desk surface mounting heights for the Fredrik desk?
edit: Scratch that. Picking up a Jerker tomorrow! Will post pics as soon as I get it set up.
I use this LED kit. It's kind of expensive but I think it's worth it for all of the different colors and settings.
