Thank you for the pointer. Looks like the last beta is the same version as the last release at this time although :( Maybe it will be updated as we get closer to Zen2 launch.
I have an MSI Pro Carbon X370 and I am also worried that it is going to have bad support as the last bios was also September. Really wanted to be able to upgrade to Zen 3 but at this point who knows what will really be supported. I can also not run my ram above 3000 MHz still.
Amazing very jealous, I don't have a microcenter nearby and moved away from a city that has two Frys so I am now very sad. My wife doesn't miss it though :P
Really wanted to get a Vega because the 56 at $399 is a good value but ended up with an EVGA 1070Ti for $410. The 4(3.5)GB of the 970 was really starting to bring performance down. Still waiting on my $30 from that card, however.
Has the process improved? Earlier silicon lottery numbers had only about 1/5th of 1700 series Ryzen chips being able to hit 4.0 GHz. I am cautiously optimistic about Zen+(or 2 or whatever they are calling it) but I am unsure if much gains will be made at this stage. Ryzen's memory speed...
Roughly 70% of the processors sold by Intel for consumers are for mobile devices. I think the focus on efficiency will continue as it also helps the real money makers of servers.
They also played on the "far" left as well. It's interesting because more than anything else they seemed to be pushing division. It is amazing how cheap it is to play the average American citizen.
Below is an example of the "ADs" that Russia was running. It seems to me that they are more like memes that got shared and that you often see people sharing on Facebook.
While these stealth games are not my cup of tea, I really enjoyed the first one because it had great story tellling. The second one was a let down, at least to me, in this regard. You can normally pick up the first game for under $10 which makes it a great buy.
I also try to go for the "good"...
Read the study, it is on facts from weekly news on domestic and foreign issues. For example look at these two questions:
Which party has the most seats in the House of Representatives right now?
To the best of your knowledge, have the opposition groups protesting in Egypt been successful in...
It is a system designed to get clicks. Check out this cool tool, from last year, that shows the difference in articles shown by Facebook depending on your calculated political views. Gotta get that ad money.

Funny you would mention that, research from 2012 shown that Daily Show only watchers had the best knowledge of actual news events (for televised "news"). Fox news watchers had less knowledge than people that did not watch the news at all. Naturally, people who watch/listen to more than one...
The current graphics card shortage sucks. FEs were getting close to $350 normal price with other 1070s getting close to $300. Even some 1080s were getting close
to $400. Guess my 970 will live on until Volta.
It would be interesting to see the underlying data and who was surveyed. The non-millennial group still had 26% that preferred esports to professional league.
Also from the article television watching is way down compared to older generations. Part of issue seems to be the move away from...
Funny thing, yesterday I got a Notice Of Deficient Claim in the mail. So I fill it out and send it in. Today I go to the mailbox and I had a second Notice Of Deficient Claim. The system used to process this information must suck because for my initial claim I had the serial number as well as a...
Perhaps, but to be honest with wide spread availability expected in May/June for Vega it will be a whole year behind the launch of the GTX 1080. So they need to do something more to entice me.
Rumored Volta launch of the Titan version is late 2017 with mainstream being released early 2018. The...
Wow, I made the exact comment that if Vega was $400 and performed at least as well as a GTX 1080 I would be on board in another thread. I was hoping that AMD really pulled something off here :P
At this point I need GTX 1080 performance at or under a $400 price tag to make this interesting. Vega is so late that if it doesn't offer insane $/Performance I will just wait for Volta.
I have a 4790s that I use in my small form factor gaming system. The S does not overclock beyond 4GHz, it's max turbo level, but I can under volt it to keep temps low in my smaller case hence why I choose it. Looking at some old benchmarks from when devils canyon released, it looks like it...
Basically this, mainstream I7 becomes 6C/12T, I5 becomes 4C/8T, I3 becomes 4C/4T. Sounds like Intel will not abandon the $1500 price point for the extreme editions but rather release a 12C/24T. I imagine this will push the 10C/20T to the $1000 dollar mark with 8C/16T going in the $400-600 range...
This is where I am at, maybe Vega will be good or drive the prices down. Really the only thing that bothers me about the 970 is the 3.5GBs of ram becoming more of a limit.
I wonder if this is the final death of Fab11X in New Mexico. They haven't been updated in forever and they only have roughly 500 employees there. Tax credits are ending soon as well.
Good to see the big Ocotillo plant finally opening. They never even paved the parking lot so it was so surreal...
Quick look on Newegg:
1060 GTX 6GB: 25 cards to choose from with 9 at or below launch MSRP and an additional 12 in the plus $20 range.
1070 GTX: 34 cards to choose from with 10 at price or below launch MSRP and an additional 12 in the plus $20 range.
1080 GTX: 35 cards to choose from with 7 at...
I have a 4790S at 4GHz that I got on sale with a Z97 board in 2015 for $260. So it would take a pretty large performance increase to get me to jump. More cores could be interesting, but I have seen 6800k's go on sale for around $300 and figuring in an X99 board, to get a couple extra cores would...
Looking at the Phil Spencer interview I am not sure that is what Microsoft meant. In the interview Spencer talks about the need to segment the market for the low and high end. He really hits on the importance of the under $300 market. So while he does say you will need a 4K TV to get the full...
From USAToday the ten most popular college majors are: 10. History, 9. English, 8. General Studies, 7. Accounting, 6. Criminal Justice, 5. Education, 4. General Biology, 3. Nursing, 2. General Physiology, 1. Business Administration
So just looking at the numbers in the top ten majors in the US...
I feel the experience of the Wii U store and interface is just not the same quality as the Xbox or PlayStation but that is just personal preference really. Likewise, I am not saying that every console has to have COD. However, having a wider selection of third party "AAA" games will help sell...
Considering the 3DS has sold roughly 10 million less units than its predecessor, the DS, during the same time span and is currently 244 million units less compared to over all lifespan I would say that market is declining. While Nintendo makes a profit on each 3DS system it is foolish to ignore...
