How are these so called leaked reviews valid when they are using an x370 motherboard without proper bios support to show what a 2700x is capable of? My takeaway is that it works out of the box but needs proper motherboard support to see what the chip is truly capable of....more like a preview of...
Looks like the 2700X is replacing the 1800X as the flagship for now with the 2700 taking over at the 1700X price point...no price reduction but higher performance at both price points.
Wow I cannot believe this thread went on that long with nothing but misinformation! Wonder if I will get banned too.....hmmmmmm! Those of you saying that 12nm LP is not this or that are totally WRONG! Every process is an evolution of the prior process so 12nm is an refinement of 14nm...
The psu wattage rating means it will provide up to 550 watts to your pc components at 100% load. Efficiency is another matter. Also the unit provides 12v AND 5v so you are not being tricked.
Decades later and nothing has changed....as the node shrinks occur certain parts of the design get denser increasing performance. Not all of the circuitry needs to be at 12nm so it is a mix 12nm/14nm as it has always been for AMD or Intel....maybe that is why you keep saying Zen + is 14nm. More...
From the horse's mouth. Dr Lisa Su herself. 12nm is based off of 14nm and promises clock and ipc increases of 10 - 15 percent which should allow the 4ghz barrier to be broken.
We all know that Intel enjoys a huge clock speed advantage over AMD and many seem to think that is IPC but on average from what I have seen....IPC is 3-5 percent with clock speed being greater for one side than the other especially in gaming not the huge number being bandied around here.

Did anyone else see the AMD Ryzen commercial featuring Woflenstein during the Cleveland vs Milwaukee NBA halftime?
First advert I've seen from AMD in the states.

12LP is not the same as 14LPP.
14LPP focused on power reduction while the new 12LP process main focus is transistor density and higher clocks.....natural process evolution.
While AmigaOS has gone the way of the Dodo, OS2/Warp became the underlying codebase of Windows NT and lives on today...just not in a recognizable form. For us old timers whenever you do a collaboration with Microsoft you lose!

Most likely Trump is mentioned due to the planned corporate tax cut from 35% to 15%.
