    New Silverstone FT02

The items used are: Magicool 540 (180x3) radiator. XS-PC Dual Bay reservoir for D5 pump. XS-PC D5 Vario. Alphacool 13/10 fittings x 8. EK 45 degree fittings x 3. EK HF Supreme Nickle Plexi. AC GTX 680 Lightning full cover block. Masterkleer clear tubing. EK Blood Red...

    New Silverstone FT02

It's connected to the reservoir with a 45 degree fitting, and likewise with the radiator. I have used a few straps on the tubing to avoid it from kinking - just to be on the safe side.

    New Silverstone FT02

The temps are quite nice. The 3930k gets to about 65c with the fans on "low" and the D5 on "2". If I have the fans on "high", I believe I get like 3c lower. The 680 Lightning stays in the 40s during gaming and the highest I have seen it yet is 48c with Planetside 2 raping it :p And a quite...

    New Silverstone FT02

It has been a while since I last did any real posting on [H], but it's good to see, that the old FT02 thread is still alive :D Here is how my rig looks at the moment: I changed from dual DDC to a single D5 with the XSPC reservoir. I changed from 6950 CF to a single GTX 680...

Why is my loop so bad?

It has nothing to do with the fans or radiator. I have the 3x180 version in my rig with a [email protected], motherboard VRM and a MSI GTX 680 Lightning @1400 MHz core - so my wattage should be above that of the OP. The GPU stays under 50c with the fans at low rpm and my D5 at "2". The CPU is about 65c...

    Auto vcore idle 1.2v stress 1.14v ?

If you use a bit of LLC, it will keep the voltage stable. If the current configuration isn't causing any problems, you could use manual voltage of 1.14 I guess.

Mediocre results with the Magicool 2x180mm radiator

I must say, my 540 Magicool performs quite well with 3 AP181 in pull. My 3930k maxes at about 65c on the hottest core during many runs of IBT Maximum. During standard IBT it will hardly reach 60c on the hottest core. That's all at 4.7GHz.

    Question on Gigabyte Windforce Blocks

As far as I know, the 670 gtx uses a short pcb design? http://www.techpowerup.com/165537/NVIDIA-s-GeForce-GTX-670-Short-PCB-Pictured-Up-Close.html And as far as I can see, the Gigabyte 680 OC (the one you call windforce? The one with three fans?) is not reference. If you want to watercool...

    Cooler Master Cosmos II MbK

Your build is awesome as usual. I have always admired your work. Especially your yellow TJ11. I was wondering, if you care to tell me, how you achieve the straight rigid tubing - specifically the part that runs behind your reservoirs. I have a long tube running horizontally, and have achieved...

    Updated FT02 with 540 radiator!

I just got a 3930k and an Asus Rampage IV Formula. I will be populating the last two slots soon, when I get the last of my RAM back from RMA. I want to change the color of the tubing. I'm really keen on the clear tubing with blood red coolant, but I don't think I will get it - kinda afraid of...

What Radiators to get for my case

60c on a i7 920 doing 4.2GHz is great. Your Antec 920 would struggle to keep it at 75-80c.

    Updated FT02 with 540 radiator!

No I don't, but I don't really see what makes you jump to that conclusion. I just live in a small apartment, studying. My rig just sits next to our bed, so it wouldn't take up all the living room space.

    Advice on new setup

Well, if you already own the FT02, you know how loud the stock fans are - which is what I'm using. There aren't really that much competition on the 180mm fan market. I thought about getting the FM181 instead of the AP181. The FM181 uses ball bearings, and it doesn't have the spiral grill either...

    Advice on new setup

You won't be sorry, if you decide to watercool your FT02. To mod the harddrive-cage, so you can fit the radiator is not very difficult - just a matter of a few screws and rivets. I have seen people cut the cage a few sizes down, and reattach it after fitting the radiator, if you care for storage...

I just upgraded from my i7 920 to a 3930k on a Asus Rampage IV Formula. I have it clocked at 4.7GHz atm with 1.37vcore and LLC on "High". I was suprised that this chip doesn't run hotter, but then again, this setup was able to tame my power hungry 920 quite well. EDIT: Notice that it's on...

    New Silverstone FT02

Well, I figure they are about equal. I only saw a little bit of improvement going from the 360 to the triple 180, so IMO it's really a matter of looks. BTW, it's loads easier to route cables with the 360 rad vs the dual 180 or triple 180 - if that matters to you. Oh, and the market for 180mm...

Np about the image - I'm just glad I can be of assistance. I am sure it will fit. The cards you see in my build are Asus EAH6950 and they are 11". According to Nvidia, the GTX 280 is 10.5", so you have more clearence than I did. The radiator in the picture is a HWLabs GTX 360 which is 54mm, so I...

    3930k vs 3930 c2

The C2 stepping has VT-d. So if you did not know this already, it probably does not matter to you. You could probably RMA your processor at Intel, telling them you badly need VT-d, but you won't gain anything by doing so.

My FT02 before I added the 540 radiator. And yes, you can remove the plastic brackets without any modding. Mine were a bit troublesome, so I just forced it, breaking a few of the plastic pins, but I knew wouldn't need them again.

    3930k C2 news?

I had been waiting for ivy for a while, but gave in to the temptation this morning. It's funny how there seem to be a shortage of stock state side - where I'm from, every online retailer has them at stock. The price point is also quite steep compared to the states - I had to pay an equivalent of...

Help Needed: building dual RAD setup for trifire 7970

As far as I know, the order in which the different components are placed in the loop is purely a case of aesthetics. When put under load, the water temperature will remain almost the same throughout the loop - perhaps only a few degrees delta. Ofc the reservoir is right before the pump, to...

Completely true. The order does not matter. Ofc the reservoir need to be before the pump, but other than that it's irrelevant.

Just tighten them as hard as you can with your fingers. Don't use any tools, and you won't break anything. It will be more than tight enough.

    Watercooling. Which case?

I agree that the FT02 is not built with watercooling in mind, but it can easily accommodate a 360 radiator. This is a thread I did when I first watercooled my FT02, which shows how easy it is to fit a 360 rad in the bottom Tsumi linked the new revision I recently posted with the Magicool 540...

    Updated FT02 with 540 radiator!

Nope, I haven't tried the push-configuration. I don't like the idea of an exposed radiator, and I have yet to find a place that stocks the SilverStone 180mm fan filters. And I'm fairly certain, that push vs pull is a tie. Here is a test where pull has a slight advantage:
