Yep! No dice there. I'll probably buy a atx Mobo and use the components to make it a Plex server. I'm moving to a 3700x or 3800x based system for my Ncase.
So I have been mulling a replacement for my 5820k in my NCase and I dunno about pricing wise 3700x vs a 9700k:
I'd re-use my NH-C14 heatsink, etc.
For $30-$50 more it seems like I get a consistently better gaming performance going with the 9700k, right?
3700x for $330
Mobo for $170. If I go...

Ive got an x99 setup with my 5820k in my sig.. really eyeing upgrading to a Ryzen 3700x or 3800x. Anyone building a system with the new Ryzen chipsets? I'd love to find a way to keep my aircool solution going
Moving from 60Hz 1080p to 144Hz 1440p ultrawide did up my KDR noticeably in BF5.
Hard to say if it is due to the ultra wide being able to see more or the higher refresh rate.
I had a 980ti with an accelero III so after I removed the bottom 25mm fans it was super easy. I'd say it was easier to install than the 980ti + accelero for sure.
So they want it both ways then: They want to be immune to criticism and consequences for known and documented espionage and infringement while also wanting to be considered equal to all the other companies that largely follow the rules of commerce.
Good fucking luck with that.
I currently have a C14 + an intake fan on the side bracket and an Accelero III with fans set as exhaust and a 92 mm as exhaust. Now I am switching to a 2080 ti XC Ultra which can fit some slim fans underneath Assuming I have these fans as intakes on the bottom should I switch any of my other...
Good news: I found a 2080 ti XC Ultra for $900!
I actually ended up buying a LG 34GK950F-B via Google Express/Buydig.com because I had $100+ in credit with Google so the cost to me was only like $680!
https://express.google.com/u/0/s?q=34GK950F-B&ved=0CAMQr4sDKAFqFwoTCKPhwZXb1OACFcMTPwod75kLRRAB
The LG is on sale for $799 and Febsave19 promo code for $20 off
The reason you don't use the IC Diamond pad is that it is a solid graphite pad so there really is almost no "give" to it. It is incredibly inflexible so for something like the GPU vs HBM stack having varying heights, your contact will be absolutely horrendous. The Hitachi HM03 pad is actually...
Missed the last sale. Should I consider this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Alienware-AW3418DW-34-Curved-1900R-WQHD-4ms-GTG-120Hz-NVIDIA-G-Sync-Gamin-/382291335699?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10#rpdCntId
@ $749?
Any comments on what the difference would be buying from Newegg vs buying from...
Could do a quick Windows + R -> mdsched.exe to run a mem check?
Also, I had a problem with windows 10 where the "advanced power plan" was set to turn off my hard disk and was turning my SSD off..........
Yeah, He put it up and eventually sold it for $1150. Again, I can't blame him for that. I've got my auto notify set for EVGA's website so I will give it a few weeks before I throw my hands up and buy a founders edition.
Still waiting on a sale for the AW3418DW...
Well, my friend ended up selling it on ebay which I can't blame him for doing.
As a side note, the market for 2080tis totally fucking sucks. Everything is like $100-$200 over MSRP and crap. As if the MSRP wasn't high enough.........
How do you find the noise from your 2080ti black in your Ncase setup? I have a 980ti w/ accelero III right now so I am considering going through the effort of mounting an accelero III on a 2080ti unless the noise isn't too bad. I suppose I can always just flip my fans to intake and see how it...
I found this album while searching around for 2080ti + accelero III installs and I thought I would share since I didnt see it here:

Looks like it works with some slight vrm heatsink shaving and some slight mods to the accelero III heatsink. Definitely...
Awesome. Yeah I just can't justify over $1k for a GPU and especially can't justify 25% higher price for 5% higher performance. At least the cost jump from 2080 to 2080ti is somewhat comprehensible.
Really my main concern is idle noise and full gaming noise. I plan to put this in my ncase with...
Nvidia drivers are like Coors Light. Yeah, you'll get drunk but it will take like 10 driver updates and you feel shittier about it every update.
AMD drivers are like grape juice. Just wait a decade and you'll be able to sip some fine wine. It's too bad you're thirsty now.
I remember MLG Gold where I had 5 1080p streams at once. I've never played a game as long as I have played sc2.
From today's WCS games: https://clips.twitch.tv/BumblingDeterminedSpindlePrimeMe
I see new stuff in this game constantly.
Nah, he is an IRL friend. He bought it when it showed up on the EVGA website a week or so ago and decided he didn't really need it with a wedding coming up and is going back to his 1080ti.
If I buy it, I save taxes and he saves the restock fee.
All,
I have a friend willing to sell me his 2080ti black edition:
https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-2281-KR
At his buying price of $999.
I know this is the cheapest 2080ti and isn't 'A binned' but should that really matter? It is still faster than the 2080s I see priced at...
I mean, in a way there is an income check but it is regressive because you have to have $7500 in tax liability to get the full amount 'refunded' Same issue exists for solar panels.
