What size? The larger SDDs are also faster compared to smaller drives in the same series. You're getting more space and speed as you go higher up the product line.
At first glance it appears the specs indicate the 960 EVO would surpass the 950 Pro in performance (if both drives were 512 GB).
I don't regularly listen to death metal, but as a musician I'm pretty open-minded about music in general. This is fairly impressive for AI. They could have picked an easier category of music to play, but didn't. 10 years from now it may be quite difficult to distinguish AI-generated music...
My only suggestion is you might want to consider trading size for speed regarding your memory selection.
Your MB can handle all the way up to DDR4 3400 and your currently targeting DDR4 2400. The sweet spot for price/speed/size right now is around 16 GB of DDR4 3000. You may not need 32 GB...
Then he should donate it and help other people. People with very little money have been doing that for a long time and finding it makes their lives more meaningful.
It doesn't surprise me that yet another guy is learning that money alone won't make you happy. But it's up to him to find out...
With great power comes great responsibility - unfortunately Americans can't even be trusted with a cat toy.
I'm curious how many of these fools are kids versus adults. Kids are going to do stupid things, even after their parents tell them not to. The adults really have no excuse (other than...
I really like hard drives. :D
1 SSD is for my work OS (C#, SQL, MVC.NET etc). 1 SSD is for my gaming OS. And the big RAID 10 array is for all my documents, code, databases, movies, music, save game back ups etc.
The nice thing about keeping two separate OS's for work and play is you...
After RMAing an expensive, but troublesome high end motherboard, I finally replaced it with an ASUS motherboard. I was now able to run my system with a motherboard that utilized the latest and greatest features except without all of the problems! ASUS makes great boards!
Because a high quality Antec PSU would fit so perfectly into my favorite Antec case - it would be a match made in heaven.
I admit it - I'm a an Antec fanboy. I will only buy cases and fans made by Antec. Their cases are visually attractive and very convenient. Their fans are awesome: they run...
It sounds to me like what she is saying is that Stellar Mass black holes are impossible. It didn't say anything about the SuperMassive black holes which they've found evidence of at the center of every galaxy they've searched for them in. The article might be misnamed just to make it more...
Where did Dr. Kimberly Young get her psychology degree? Because it was certainly NOT on planet Earth.
Dear Doctor, the people making these calls are not confused - they are d-bags of the highest order who know better and need to be taught a lesson.
What should become part of the punishment is...
NA
I would own a high-wattage LEPA PSU to run all my hard drives and cases fans. I would own LEPA case fans because when you have as many case fans as I do I want to be able to hear my computer, not over-whelming fan noise. I would own a LEPA CPU cooler because the heat sink is large...
It looks like what I would see if I died and went to geek heaven. :D I did not know such beauty existed in the world.
One thing I hate about standard cases is when you have to switch out a part or wire. Even with high end consumer cases there's usually a relatively tight squeeze just to...
The only problem is this: crooks will see unprotected merchandise and devise their own drones to steal the stuff right out of the air. Then Amazon will have to implement defensive and counter-measures. Next thing you know, it'll be a sci-fi movie above our heads in suburbia: delivery drones...
The sad thing: this isn't even in response to the bastard who dressed up as Joke and blew a bunch of innocent civilians away - this is in response to people recording crappy copies of movies in theatres.
It's about preventing piracy (greed), not saving lives (safety). It just goes to show...
I won't touch the expansion. Diablo 3 was the biggest disappointment in my life as far as games go. Blizzard desecrated my precious when they concocted Diablo 3. I'd rather play Diablo 2 in all it's 800 X 600 low res glory.
I just received this email from Cox, my ISP.
I was at 24 Mbps down (30 Mbps turbo for the first 20 MB of each file download). So this basically is double my previous speed. The upload increase is what I really needed! :D
This kind of effort explains why Cox was #3 on the list of...
Black may be common, but to me it's still a bad ass color for a gaming rig case.
That being said, what I'd like to see is the option to switch between colors for the LED lights on the fans and elsewhere. For example - a knob on the back of the case that you could use to switch between Red...
It's way too late for the disappointment that was Diablo 3. I've never been more disappointed in a game in my life. I'd rather play Diablo 2. One player in the Blizzard forums summed it perfectly: he said he knew the game sucked when he saw Deckard Cain get killed by butterflies.
They...
I got into programming at 9 years old for the same reason. I wrote code to improve upon existing games. Then eventually I learned enough to create my own games. Now I have a salary job with great benefits and work from the comfort of my own home. And I owe it all to my ability to write...
Amen. Perfectly summarized.
I've never been so disappointed in a game in all my life. :( Diablo 2 was so good, the only reason I uninstalled it was because I played it too much. Diablo 3 was about as fun as doing homework - I uninstalled it because it was a waste of hard drive space...
Galaxy implements fantastic cooling solutions on their video cards. You need that cooling when you want to play the latest and greatest games at high resolution with your quality settings cranked up!
This is a bummer. The largest and coolest CPU heatsink I ever bought was through these guys - it didn't even need it fan it kept my old over-clocked quad core so cool. This is not a good day for enthusiasts... one less option. :(
Solution: BCC
To avoid Reply-All to large distribution lists at work we simply BCC all of the recipients - then nobody can clog everyone's email with a question that isn't pertinent to the 99 other recipients of the original email.
Too much email is a problem, but so are too many meetings...
Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Borderlands 2 all run awesome on the 7000 series - it's a great series for playing the latest and greatest games, especially with the 12.11 drivers!
That being said, I could ALWAYS use another card! :D
It looks like it already sold out online though. Hopefully they get more in stock and keep the price for any of those who were interested in playing.
$10 is about what it's worth at this stage. I did have fun playing it for a few weeks. However it didn't have the replay-ability for me that...
Watching and hearing that was... horrible... absolutely horrible. I can't unwatch that. Why did you show us this? The only thing that could have saved that scene would have been a chainsaw wielding zombie.
I know - it was just a kid show. Anyone ever watch an old B movie that you used to...
Thanks for making me aware of this. I've posted links to this in my gaming team's forums.
Who in the world have we elected that thinks this is a good idea? Which of them thinks that our whereabouts are any of their business? And why does it seem like every week they try to pull more of this...
Now I feel better. I was afraid I was on the only one that thought this was confusing as hell. Imagine if they hadn't even posted titles at the end trying to explain what the hell this was even about?
That video was so stupid it made me dumber for having watched it.
At least the girl was...
I'll agree with this. I tried to gift someone a digital download of Battlefield 3, which in Steam would normally take 2 minutes. I spent 2 hours in chat with 3 different customer service reps from India, none of which were able to figure it out, all while their stupid chat kept malfunctioning...
So this means China is only 4 years away from stealing the technology... and putting laser guns on their ships. If they put the kind of effort into network security that they put into the weapons, the potential military advantage of superior weaponry might actually be realized.
