@imufuzak, thanks! The only issue I was having with it was that the video card fans were hitting the sound card which was making a really annoying scraping noise. You can't really see it in the photos but there is a small black plastic container (where are put all my extra computer screws)...
I just read the online manual for the DSX and you're right, it's for 5.1/6.1/7.1 setups. Since my setup is only 2.1, I'm going to leave the sub connected to my A5's. Thanks.
I just ordered a Xonar DSX and have a few questions about hooking it up. The sound card has a sub out port. My PSW-10 sub has been connected to my A5 via the RCA out. I was just wondering if it is better to plug the sub into the sub output on the card when I get it instead of from the speakers...
I just got the SteelSeries Sensei Raw Edition for Christmas and it a really great mouse. Very lightweight, great sensor, ambidextrous design, braided cord, and it lights up!
yeah my powered audio engine a5s do get quite loud and fill my bed room easily but not much more than that. If you want them to fill larger rooms (ie living room), I would go with larger passive speakers driven by amps.
The audio quality over bluetooth was quite good. No static or anything if your using the 3.5mm output. You also have the ability to output to an fm freqency, but then the quality is not so good.
Actually I'm looking to get rid of my GOgroove FlexSMART X2 since I've upgrade my stereo with built-in bluetooth. It has lots of great reviews on Amazon. You can pm me if you're interested.
On the AnTuTu Benchmark, this think even beats out the Note 2. I found a noticeable jump in the score when switching on/off eco-mode but in real-world performance, I haven't had the need to turn off eco-mode even when playing games, helps save battery life. I know the front and back is Gorilla...
I have the Sprint version, much better in my opinion. It's sleeker looking (smaller and has sharper angles) and has a 13MP camera. The Sprint version does not have the microsd card slot, the AT&T version does. But the 32GB built-in storage is enough for me so there's no loss there.
I got mine yesterday from best buy for 99.99 for an upgrade from my HTC Hero and I've been playing with constantly. Such a fast phone and the build quality is quite excellent. I just wanted know if anybody here has one and how do you like it so far? Also isn't the Nexus 4 based off of this...
I just picked up a Kingston 3K 120GB SSD for about 55 dollars and I am dedicating it solely for Steam at the moment. I think I have Red Orchestra, Skyrim, Sleeping Dogs, and Far Cry 2 installed and I have like 80 GB left (out of 111 GB total storage). I don't have a huge back log like some...
Since you don't need a power house of a tablet, I recommend the Toshiba Thrive. Had mine since release and it hasn't let me down. Plus, you gotta love the user removable/replacable battery. I don't plan on replacing my tablet for a long time. If you're into tinkering, there's already a ROM on...
I've found that those battery powered air pumps meant to blow up air matresses work great for blowing out dust from PCs and they're about half the price of a datavac.
I believe the best value gaming laptop that is 14" or less is the 4820TG from Acer. It has a core i7 480 with a 6550M graphics card. It got it for 729.9 from amazon a few months ago and it's has been working great for me! Also the TimeLineX series are very slim making it great portable gaming...
The HTC Flyer (wifi model coming very soon) has a UI made for using with a stylus. In fact you have something better then a stylus, a pressure sensitive electromagnetic pen. There are many youtube videos showing off it's features, I suggest you check them out.
I think ThinkPads are overpriced in my opinion. I suggest getting the Acer, awesome hardware at a good price plus you will have money left over for the SSD which is a plus.
I highly recommend the 4820TG. Just purchased it last month and it has worked great for taking it to classes and playing games. I love how slim it is! I put a 120GB Intel SSD in it which was very easy to do. I purchased mine on Amazon for about $720 which is a great value for what you get...
What about the Archos 70, similar specs to the Nook. No coding/hacking required for Android 2.2. Simply just install the market .apk for the official google market and you're all set!
