Are any of you ZFS users able to access the SMB shares exported from ZFS through Android? I have no problem accessing them through Windows PC, but I am always getting bad username or password with any software I could find on Android.

I wish to create 2 spanned RAID-Z arrays, one with 3 x 1.5TB disks, the other with 3 x 2TB disks.
I have a spare 2 TB disk, can I make it a hot spare for both arrays?

I own the mentioned NAS chassis with 4 3.5" HDDs and 2.5" HDD for O/S.
I have only now noticed, the spec says there should be an internal mounting bay for the 2.5" HDD (I just have it glued to the bottom of the chassis in a free area). For the life of me I can't see the mounting...

I have a Solaris Express 11 machine with a 4 drive RaidZ2 configuration.
From a Win7 machine, I get about 9-10 MB/s using a NFS mount, and ~60 MB/s using CIFS.
Any idea what could be wrong?

Im running a NAS/SAN on Solaris Express 11.
3 x 2TB on RAIDZ1. I wanted to add a hot spare, and accidently added it as a basic vdev.
Is there any way to remove it from the pool without destroying it?
