    Asus PA238Q - 23" IPS

How does the PIP work? Can you do DisplayPort/HDMI PIP? How does it affect input lag?

Any word on this?: http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/19/the-aoc-aire-pro-a-23-inch-ips-monitor-for-199/ 23" 1080p IPS for $199 2 HDMI ports (No DVI?) 1 VGA Built-in speakers Very strange. I wonder how good the actual display is. But the choice of inputs and the included speakers seems...

    Home network - cat5 problems

Interestingly enough, I had another switch that arrived (D-link 8 port gigabit switch), and that switch worked in the garage. I guess the other switches were too wimpy to handle my noisy cat5 runs? Well it works at full speed.

    Home network - cat5 problems

No, I my cables are straight cables. You can connect two computers with just a patch cable and they'll auto detect that its not a crossover cable.

    Home network - cat5 problems

I believe so. They are all wired the same. Also each cat5 individually works fine with laptops on either end, but when I bring a switch into the picture, and chained cat5s, it goes bork. Most of the outlets in the house were wired as regular, chained phone lines (regular phone cable, 3 twisted...

    Home network - cat5 problems

I wired T-568A throughout everything. What I don't understand is why I can get full speed when I have laptops on either end, but when I add a switch and a 1ft cat6 patch cable, suddenly it gets slower. Surely that can't be a problem with my wiring? Also why would one switch detect the...

    Home network - cat5 problems

I found out that some of the phone jacks in my home are actually cat5, and I want to use them for ethernet for HTPC media center extenders. I have my router in the office, and there's a cat5 cable that goes from the office to the garage, where all the other cat5 cables go. I bought some wall...

Need hardware? Stay away from Amazon!

Yeah... I've never had problems with Amazon shipping. I have free Amazon Prime (1 year as student) so I get free two-day shipping on everything. Sometimes its actually overnight shipping and I get it in one day.

    FINALLY - Arc Midi Review

I'm not pleased about the branding. The Define is probably the best looking case on the market. I do like that they used the USB 3 internal headers, though. The reviewers knocked them for it, but it has to happen eventually. Using an external plug is so hack-ish.

Silverstone FT02B vs ThermalTake Level 10 GT

IIRC they are working on a USB front panel kit for the FT02. Should be released sometime.

    NZXT Hush 2

Agreed. The R3 is much more refined.

    NZXT Hush 2

Glad to see case manufactures moving in this direction. I can't stand all the flashy, cheap, exteriors that are all too common. I'd rather have a more refined, understated design.

Does Silverstone FT02 have USB 3.0 sockets in front/top??

I really hope they come out with an upgradeable front panel kit. This case is awesome and only needs USB 3.0.

Fractal Design - When in the US?

I really like the design of the Define R2/R3. I think it is just about the perfect computer case, I could only ask for USB3.0. Simple, clean, minimalist look. No ugly logos, no crazy lights, no ugly side window. This is the Apple case of PCs. I think its a shame they put a big logo on Fractal's...
