Someone besides me should try the Samsung LN32D550. I got it a couple months ago (rev. SQ04) and it has been near perfect for me.
I posted my impressions here and on AVS Forum:

I'm using a DVI->HDMI cable from my ATI Radeon 5850 and the sharpness...
The joke is that you're unhappy about their right to charge for their services. If you don't think it's worth it, then don't buy it (just like I won't be).
If your soundcard has an optical input, you can try sending the XBOX 360's optical out to that. Otherwise, an AV receiver can work as a total solution so you don't have to swap your speaker/headphone cables whenever you switch from PC to the XBOX 360.
Of course it is segregated. Have you played any PC/console cross platform multiplayer short of Portal 2?
Consoles already support mouse and keyboard, but they intentionally don't allow it as a control option in most games. Their vision is to have consoles be a casual experience to be played...
The uniformity of TN screens even head on is poor. How much does this really matter if you aren't doing color work? Not much.
I was trying to get a IPS LG 32LK450 but I gave up because all I could find was their A-MVA version. Ended up getting a S-PVA (?) Samsung LN32D550 and I was pleasantly...
Given the same screen size, don't act like having black bars is equivalent to displaying in full screen (without any clipping). Black bars can be especially irksome in the current state of LCDs as make certain issues stand out like backlight bleed, blue LED tinges, poor black levels, and screen...
I've been looking for a larger monitor because I find that enlarging websites on my 23 inch monitors makes reading/viewing more comfortable. I got the 32 inch Samsung yesterday and so far it seems to work really well as a monitor/entertainment hub.
Pros:
+ Its AG coating is lighter than my...
LG xxLD450 and xxLK450 has better viewing angles, less blurring, and is about as good as it gets for input lag for a HDTV. Downsides are poor black levels and an IPS panel is not guaranteed (panel lottery).
Samsung LNxxD550 has better blacks and aesthetically looks better.
The LG is better...
This is good news because I'm actually looking for a 27" 1080p/1200p monitor and an adjustable stand. I won't be using it for gaming or watching movies in the dark, so my preference is IPS>VA>TN. I find myself straining to read fonts or enlarging webpages on my 23" 1080p monitor, so I'm not...

I had to figure out how to ignore because of him. He's constantly asking for purchasing advice and then ignoring it only to make a new thread, or spreading around misinformation with broken English and enlarged fonts.
And likewise most manufactures use "vivid" picture settings for store settings because bright exaggerated colors impress people in side by side comparisons.
This thread has been helpful for me because I did not know that most sources were in sRGB. I don't see a point in wide gamut if that's...
I've received a monitor with two stuck pixels recently and what you're saying is wrong. Displaying white over a green stuck pixel will display white. The green sub-pixel is stuck on but the red and blue sub-pixel can still turn on.
Clearly your gut feeling is right and the people who are making business decisions at Samsung, LG, Sony, Dell, etc are wrong.
I don't think you understand what scaling is if you're using "browser full screened" as your argument.
Did you get around to testing this before you returned the monitor :p
The moving gradient banding issue is caused by overdrive in my Samsung PX2370. When I set the response time to "normal", the banding goes away. The video I linked of the LG has a foreign language description that I don't...
Oh, I have two requests for the review that are not commonly tested!
1) Does the headphone jack emit static? If I connect headphones to my Samsung PX2370, it emits a constant high pitched squeal when the brightness is not set to 100%. This is incredibly annoying when I am playing consoles...
Edit: I figured the differences in model were just regional code, but later posters have indicated that the T27A950 is different than the S27A950D.
The Samsung T27A950 is now on DigitalVersus's "Product Face-Offs" page, and literally all of the results are terrible :(
More ghosting then 60hz...
I was looking for reviews this weekend too and couldn't find any. Ended up picking up the Asus VH236H as a cheap TN monitor to tide me over till someone reviews an awesome monitor.
Got a link or can you explain this more?
When I try clone mode between my monitors the lag difference between them is not consistent, and varies between 1-2 frames.
It is a TN thing. For something more obvious, look at the lack of color uniformity on the purple image on lagom.nl's viewing angle page.
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/viewing_angle.php
Has the input lag been accurately measured anywhere (i.e. clone mode with a crt)? What about if it support 4:4:4 chroma? If so please link :)
Those are two key specs for me for me to use a TV as a monitor.
Very few TVs make for good monitor usage. You're going to be dealing with higher input lag, various processing that makes font look bad, large pixels, and chroma subsampling. 3D TVs != 3D Monitors either.
That said, there are some that do work well, but don't judge their PC performance by...
The monitor is a good value and is used at the biggest US fighting game tournament (EVO 2010), which means it has very little input lag. It has a TN panel which is cheaper than IPS/VA panels, but it is well priced even among its peers.
You you research the different panel techs if you want to...
Because the resolution you're talking about is overkill on a 24 inch. I'll take that res on a 30 inch screen.
I've heard many times enlarging fonts does not work out perfectly. Besides, everything is going to be tiny with that pixel size.
I've never liked the whole widescreen gimmick, but since 16:9 is the most accepted standard, I now prefer monitors which fit that standard.
If wider is better, why don't papers and books use a wide format? Well, because reading a long line of words is not as easy as if it were broken up into...
Seconded. If they can't guarantee the info they should not list it. You received a product which was not as described. It's probably against the law to deny a full refund.
Edit: this is not directed toward Gman but the people who refuse to even consider the possibility that the specs may be wrong. Gman has been very helpful in getting to the bottom of this.
I'm not sure why people believe manufacture's specs are the word of law. Especially when they are so...
I'm in the process returning a LG 32LK450 because I lost the panel lottery and got a VA panel. I don't think there is any charge but I guess I won't be certain until I see the refund on my CC.
Amazon can ban you for too many returns though, so I'd be wary about using it too often.
Gman, if you take a macro shot of a white background as close as possible, the pixel structure will be enough proof of which panel type this monitor uses.
