i've owned 3 asus boards in over the years.
An A8V deluxe, P5Q pro, and p8p67 pro. The first 2 lasted as long as I used them (a good few years) infact the p5q pro is still going in my parents pc.
The p8p67 pro died recently after a couple of years use, infact probably less as I had it swapped...
^why would you want to purchase other components in the meantime? the price of some of those could drop and better products released. what is the rush or need to have stuff lying around while you wait potentially a few months for motherboard. Don't waste your money yet and be patient
You know I wish i'd listen to my gut instinct more often. telling me not so upgrade from a 775 system until SB has been out a while. but no i go with the hype and this happens.
This is becoming more and more these days. not just hardware, i mean look at black ops, went with the hype...
so do you think this could come at some point in the future for windows, in an update or something? Surely if it's a windows issue Intel would have already spoke to Microsoft about it.
Would I be right in thinking that the best policy for raided SSD's is to image the system, then say every 6...
other many ports? there's only two 6gb ports and four 3gb for intel. Most people use more than two sata ports, and many don't like the crappy marvells.

I wonder if Intel will ever release an update to allow trim on raided drives? It's been way overdue. I read somewhere that trim will never be available to raided...
heelix did you really see much difference between 64/128? games loadings for example? I have been using 64 which seems ok. But on the other hand I trust what submesa says about 128.
ah right ok. cheers you two.
mine's set to 64 as thats whats i read on a few others sites when i created this array.. people playing games alot. Anyway I gotta reinstall windows7 soon so will try 128 next time.
sub.mesa your a smart bloke. some of your posts i've come across regarrding SSD's...
thought i'd resurrect this thread as i'd really like to know the answer to OP question.
Alot of people now seem to have their x25-m's in raid 0, so what is the recommended strip size, or what are you using? I can't seem to find any clear information on this anywhere.
