That explains the interaction with PLL overvolt and S3. And you say they are not compatible. Fine.
But the point is that even when PLL overvolt is disabled, S3 doesn't resume properly.
Explain that please...
S3 works fine with Z68 which is also SandyBridge.
Explain that please...
If Z68 S3...
The Sleep issue is still not solved.
(for those who don't know what it's all about: Sleep issue describes the process by which the PC goes to Sleep but does not wake up, screen is blank and a reboot/reset is necessary)
No one yet has accepted or confirmed officially that this problem exists (be...
The real problem with the S3 bug is that NO COMPANY has yet officially confirmed that the bug exists.
Therefore the problem is on our side (the users). Try this, try that, what is your hardware, drivers etc...RMA the board, get a new one, re-install, no joy.
And that has been happening since...
A suggestion for Raja
I have a P8P67Dlx here that has the SLEEP issue and as mentioned a straight swap for a Z68 fixed the problem.
That should be a good starting point for you guys to work on this problem.
I can ship it to HQ (or whatever?) so they can find the solution.
In any case, let me...
Raja, what's your take on this?
I have a P8P67Dlx B3 board. It does not resume from Sleep. Tried all the listed solutions including all the listed BIOS.
Bought a P8Z68v pro. Same hardware. Same OS, I just let Windows7 update the drivers and S3 is working fine.
Should I RMA the P8P67Dlx B3?
Tks...
1. I believe you have to have installed the Intel driver first to get Lucid to work. That is what I did, and it worked;
2. sleep problems are complex. Things to look at: PLL overvoltage has to be disabled. Intel RST (whatever version) has to be removed and left with MS basic driver (which allow...
Ran with both video adapters here. Just installed this new MB yesterday.
Initially, I didn't have the Intel video driver installed and I have 2 LCD connected to a GTX580.
So, I first disabled the 2nd LCD from Nvidia CP hooked up the 2nd LCD to DVI Intel adapter booted in Windows and installed...
You will not find S1/S3 sleep options in the Asus EFI as there are none. I have been told by Asus that the sleep mode is now "controlled" in Windows...
Obviously that is not working very well either. The EFI will have to mature
My pleasure Sir. I don't remember that 804 cured my keyboard problem but seeing it does for you, I will try it out. Tks. I changed to full towers a long time ago. I must have built a good 20 PC's in the last 15 years and I came to like full towers for 2 reasons: the space and air flow.
I am using 1204. I don't use Prime. My benchmark is FSX, if I can run Flight Simulator 10 during one hour without hiccups then I am happy. That is also where I get my temp readings.
Thermal paste used is NT-H1 Thermal Compound. It came with the heatsink. Yes 1 drop only in the middle of the...
OK. Can you downgrade BIOS? With the P8P67 Deluxe you can, just use Eflash in the BIOS.
The USB legacy disable solved the problem for me. My motherboard is a revision 1.03.
Yes, I also noticed that the BIOS temps were very different between BIOS versions.
Do not use the stock fan, it is...
The quick fix is to "disable USB legacy" in the BIOS. Normally USB legacy should be enabled, but that is part of the many quirks that the Bios has.
That will give you access to your OS selections,
edit: all of the Bios available for the P8P67 deluxe have this bug.
you CAN GO BACKWARDS with BIOS. Just use the Bios flash utility in the Asus EFI in "TOOLS".
My initial bios was 501, I upgraded to 1053, downgraded to 0804, upgraded to 1253, went back to 1053 and back up to 1253.
UPDATE:
Thank you guys for all your suggestions, but no dice...SLEEP mode is not working.
I have gone through Gary<s procedure: Go into UEFI, Advanced Options, .......enable EIST etc...etc...
with the same result.
Here is a brief rundown of my system spec.
2600K (from stocked speed to 4.6) mb is...
Point #1 As mentioned in a previous post, I am unable to come back from sleep mode. The monitor remains blank (sleep mode). Only way out is to shutdown and restart.
Gary, you mentioned with the new BIOS that the "power" settings are managed by the OS.
Pse explain the procedure on how to...
