Trying to find ITX case that's suitable for Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme 1080ti, but many seem to only support dual slot. Would it fit in the Node 202? Any other options?
I could swap to a 2-slot GPU, but I'd rather have a case with compatibility for 3-slot since higher end aircooled cards seem to...
Primary uses:
Programming, browsing, infrequent engineering software like solidworks
Preferences:
- 15+", 1920x1080, matte screen, IPS
- No numpad because I despise offcentered typing. I understand the jump to 15" over the 14" models with no numpad greatly limits my choices, but my eyes need...
I've been stuck deciding between the Wasabi Mango UHD490 and Microboard V490UHD. They both seem like solid choices for those who do dedicated task work on sufficiently-large desks.
Input lag numbers would definitely be nice, I'd love to see the two compared.
I have two of these boards...one red and one brown.
The board with browns had its port come out of the solder points very quickly, and I was aware of potential problem before purchasing the board. I was very gentle with it, but it came out after around the 10th plugging cycle.
The board with...
After a couple days passed of them not responding to my first email, I sent another and they replied to that the following day.
It's for the best. The rest of the keyboard is great, and I like the red metal plate behind the keys...but that dang mini USB port really does fail like clockwork...
My keyboard broke within a couple weeks. The mini USB plug on the board breaks very easily, it's like they didn't even solder it in there. There are many reports of this in the newegg reviews too. It's a common issue that Rosewill still hasn't addressed.
Rosewill is slow to respond via...

I present to you: the fence chair. For those that enjoy sitting on the fence. :p
I feel the topic of this thread is too broad. There are issues being presented here with both the industry and within ourselves that lead to this 'empty' feeling when playing games. Each subtopic really deserves its own thread to move forward with an in-depth discussion. We can't address...
The shape doesn't suit everyone, but there are several other mice using the avago optical sensors.
Logitech G400
Deathadder
Zowie
BST's upcoming mouse
And for those unsure, yes, the avago 3050 and 3090 are really awesome sensors.
I also browse enough to need the free-spin scroll wheel and...
I use/plan on using two mice:
FPS - CM Storm Spawn or Xornet with whichever firmware you prefer.
Why? - Avago 3090 or 3050 optical sensor...very nice tracking performance.
Other - There are several mice from the big makers that use the same/similar sensor. I like the CM Storm series...
Yes, I was suprised too. Crashes at +141 on the core, and any higher on mem seems to have no benefit. Mem crashes at +340.
At the settings I listed, I've run at least 5 loops of heaven and played bf3 for several hours.
Most glossy monitors have some type of coating that cuts down on reflections. These anti-reflective glossy coatings have been improving, so that is what I'd go with.
Definitely get 120hz.
If it were my choice, I'd want the 120hz-capable 2560x1440 korean monitor as my main ($460), with the...
I got all the switches. Problem solved (well...topre, browns, reds, and blues)... It feels nice to change things up, totally worth the investment.
In regards to the price of topre, I've always felt it was both overpriced yet still worth owning.
I'm very happy now that there's competition between the different manufacturers for these MMO mice.
I wish they had kept the G9-style scroll wheel though...
Also, I hope that third button isn't annoying for those of us who won't utilize it. I'll probably use that button for hot-swapping...
The charr sidequests in the level 1-15 area are sooo dull. For those who have gone through all 3 races, are human or norn sidequests more entertaining?
I shouldn't have picked the 'desert area' to start with, on a server with low population.
Please don't do that.
Don't know what games you play, but at 120hz 1080p resolution, I wouldn't want anything slower than my 670. I'd need a 690 if I really wanted to max out my BF3 framerates.
A couple months ago my index finger started hurting at the first joint behind the fingernail. I was playing SC2 and BF3 using all my weapons on semi-auto, and now D3 is about to come out...
After I properly heal up, are there any mice I should get that would be suited to preventing the onset...
It's not that I have a hard-on for realism, I just want to be able to use my force feedback wheel with the game and not have the controls so skewed toward the arcade feel that it doesn't feel intuitive. In other words, I wouldn't want this game to feel like Trackmania.
I would only want this if car physics were realistic instead of arcade. Not saying this is what it SHOULD be...just saying this is what I'd personally prefer.
So you're not using a videocard? No platter-based drives that need active cooling?
It's a case with lots of open space, and hot air is going to naturally rise to the top as I'm sure you already knew. A CPU alone isn't putting off much heat.
I use two intake fans...one pointing directly at my...
Even with GW2 performance optimizations, I'd imagine serious drops in framerate whenever the action is at its most intense.
I wouldn't go with anything less than a 7950.
I just had the realization that I prefer a matte screen on a laptop. I hadn't realized that both of the choices I was previously considering...the DM1z and the Aspire One, both have glossy screens.
What choices do I have now? I don't mind using ebay to get a used laptop, I just don't know...
