Just to let you know... My monitor has experienced burn-in.
This is the first time I've seen burn-in happen to me.
Alongside the green line and the instability of the monitor that could die at any second. I'm falling out of love with HKC monitors.
That X3 had the highest contrast ratio but...
I'm amazed that I still have this account and since reddit was of no help I'm going onto here for help.
I bought the HKC X3 a while ago and aside from some backlight bleed and a green line to the right, it is the best monitor I have ever owned for it's 5,000:1 contrast ratio and it's refresh...
Hi. I got scammed out of my money and I'm disputing it thanks to PayPal. Never do business with BestStoreOnline.
Do you know of any reputable dealer who accepts PayPal credit where I can get this from? I really want those deep blacks and high refresh rates.
This seems nice; no longer do I have to pour hundreds of dollars into a new OS release. I can just sit back and relax as my OS remains the same.
That is, until they release a major UI update; only then will I worry.
Ever since I got a Lumia 1520 I gotten use to the bigger screen and it fits well in my hands since I have pretty big hands. I remember someone he gotten use to the bigger size almost instantly and that it feels better than a smaller phone. I understand the smaller phone works better but the...
Hi. I find this forum extremely helpful and I would like to extend myself here by subscribing to General Mayhem but I don't know how to do it; can any of you help me?
Okay, I bought this motherboard with the expectation that I would find happiness but all I found was trouble and pain; the motherboard has a problem where it appears to be working but over the course of a few days it freezes up and I have to reset it and the cycle continues. In addition, I can't...
So I recently got this motherboard, it boots up, it boots to disk but I can't get it to boot to BIOS. I tried various keyboards but that's not the issue, I don't know if a bent pin would permit access to BIOS and I certainly don't know what the problem is.
Can anybody help me out? I would...
One thing I've noticed on the Wasabi Mango is that it says LED and I haven't heard anything of them beforehand.
What is the panel, a VA or a TN and I personally want the "owner" of Wasabi Mango to come in here to answer any questions he may have for us.
EDIT: Almost forgot, is it Single Stream...
I see people are finally catching on to my situation. I've explained that if I'm going to get a new case then I'll have to see whether or not I can do it without upgrading my CPU cooler to a 120mm Asetek cooler; reason why I haven't bought another MicroATX case is because I don't want to be...
I have an Asetek 92mm cooler; I don't know if Full ATX cases support 92mm but if they do then they'll make the transition much easier. If they don't, I'll have to buy a new cooler, simple as that.
And I know that they can be used for existing compatible motherboards but I'll have to upgrade...
To be fair, I have a Gateway Micro ATX case with a Gelid 80mm fan in the front for intake, Gelid 92mm in the side for intake. (both of them are TC), 2 Cooler Master 92mm fans for the CPU cooler (which is an Asetek) and a Xigmatek 170mm fan which I recently bought; I have put alot of work into...
It's a shame because I bought an R9 290X from MSI based on the reviews and it turns out to be hotter inside my case than the reviews state. I find it odd that they don't state which case they use because that's what the thing is going into. Not a caseless case, a standard ATX with probably alot...
It's all based on luck and skill. I got mine back in 2011 and I had it for a limited time mostly due to the fact that it hogged a lot of power and dad wasn't down with that; and it was in Bakersfield as well...
If you want one locally, you'd have to be really lucky but if you have the money...
To be fair, I knew this when I purchased my first high-end graphics card; that's why I added a front fan and a side fan, to circulate the airflow a little bit more. A cool fact, this case is able to fit an Accelero Xtreme with it's 3 slots so while it may not have been designed to hold high-end...
Here's a fun story. I cleaned off the anti-glare using window cleaner and some of the liquid might of gotten onto the monitor and caused the pop issue. I don't know how long the monitor was in there but I'm guessing it was for a very long time, when I took it out to test, the pop issue was gone...
This. Is. Awesome!
I can't wait to see the monitor through your eyes, already I'm seeking this out as my new monitor. I don't care about 120Hz or G-Sync, VA is where it's at baby!
Update: I just purchased an MSI R9 290X GAMING 4G mainly because I believe the larger fan size and the backplate will help with cooling. I just don't think the Tri-X is up to snuff after much research I did. I don't know if it'll get hot in a MicroATX case but I added two fans to it so it should...
No, but he does claim that the power bill has been cheaper ever since the screen is gone.
Also: http://www.photodon.com/c/LCD-Protective-Films.html There is tons of discussion regarding crystal anti glare, especially regarding how it makes the FW900 look almost like new.
I understand, that's why I added one side fan and one front fan to the system; it's actually letting air in but I was just wondering what would happen if two of them were paired together. Would it not get air, would it block ventilation? I've seen many do crossfire on ATX systems but rarely do...
I was actually going to buy a crystal glare filter that reduced glare without darkening the image but I sold the monitor before I could. Wanted to keep it but my dad pressured me with the fact that the power would be expensive.
Darn power bills!
Has anybody done that? I found the card for a good deal of money and I'm wondering if it's possible the two cards will run with consistently decent temperatures. I don't want to jump the gun and find out it runs hot in Crossfire in a MicroATX case.
And in case your asking, I modded my...
It actually makes sure that the screen is visible during times of excessive light; also prevents your screen from becoming a distracting mirror of sorts.
I just talked to Unkle Vito; he told me there was no way to determine the number of hours a monitor has been running. Someone was yanking my chain on eBay, I apologize for the inconvience. I do know from personal experience it has been running for 10 months since the time I got it for 8-10 hours...
I read from an eBay member that the value could be read by using WinDAS, realizing this I took a look at past documents and found that I had documented the number of hours the monitor had been running.
You cannot believe the number of modified G2 dats that I have.
So I have a problem; someone won my auction for a FW900 and he's not contacting me at all; I really love this monitor but it's too expensive to keep so I have to give it to a good home who'll take care of it.
So who wants a good quality FW900 monitor; it's November 2000 manufactured; runs at a...
