No bother, just new to this so I'm slow. haha. So I am returning the one monitor because of the one horizontal band on pitch black screens. It's VERY hard to notice, but I figure I pay the money, I want a near-perfect screen. I should get the new one in a few days. I'll have some more...
It supports displayport 1.2 daisy chaining. I am currently daisy chaining the monitors and it works fine.
I did the hand wave and camera test at 100% (No PWM regardless, control), 70%, 50%, 30%, 20% (seems to be the usual cutoff if partial PWM) and 0% and didn't see any signs of PWM. I'm...
p2414h is a really good monitor for the price. It's not full gloss but the AG is very unobtrusive.

We have a few p2414h's at work, and I'd have to agree. Given, the number of monitors I have to compare against are pretty small < 4 p2414s and 2 u2414hs the vertical viewing does appear to be slightly better. Could come in handy if you plan on flipping them portrait style with a multi-monitor...
Sorry life has gotten in the way of me getting some really good seat time and reviewing. Yeah, the band is pretty hard to notice, and even harder to capture. I'm going to take another crack at it tonight as well as getting some of the other measurements. Still trying to figure out HCFR lol...
So I think I may have found some cross hatching on the 2nd monitor. There is a horizontal band that goes across the screen about a 1/3rd of the way up. You kinda have to look for it and I don't notice it at all during normal use, so I'm contemplating living with it. You can faintly see it...
It is, but it's the best I can do so far with my non-slr. I'm going to do much more work in providing info tomorrow. Been focusing on getting it all setup to my liking and unfortunately had to tend to some work issues earlier. Will have much more detailed info tomorrow!
Sorry just got done with some BF4, the game played just as well as my older TN panels (Acer x203W).
I'll get some bleed pics before I head off and have to do "adult" things.
So, it appears there is no PWM in use at all from even < 20%. Bezels are pretty damn small. Really sharp colors. There is some IPS glow, but I've seen worse. Full report later. No power port for audio, only an audio out port and USB 3.
What an amazing device. I should have bought a colorimeter years ago, it would have saved me hours of trying to get my monitors to match up color-wise. Can't recommend this thing enough, and all I've done was build the ICC profile for my two old (x203w) monitors. Can't wait to fire it up...
The "customization options" for the monitor allow for their sound bar, so I'd imagine it's supported. I will post unboxing pictures as well as a review tomorrow once I receive it. First thing on the list will be to identify if it is truly PWM free. Then I'll give my first impressions.
My set of u2414hs get here on Wednesday. They are only 1080p though, but they are supposed to have a really thin border and not use PWM for dimming. I guess we'll find out.
Not sure. These aren't 1920x1200 like the 2413. Dell claims it's a flicker free (PWM free) panel, but I will be testing that as soon as I receive them. I'm kind of expecting them to be a nicer version of the p2414h.
Just ordered two of em with the stand, we'll see how they are. Dell claimed they are PWM free. I guess we'll see.

According to dell the u2414h does NOT use PWM for dimming. These are really nice with virtually no bezel, I may have to give them a whirl. Especially since they are more readily available and cost what one vp2770 would cost me. lol The integrated dual display stand is a nice to have as well.
So, this may be a stupid question. But wouldn't G-Sync cause the same problems that people experience with PWM? I mean it's essentially going to flicker the screen at 60-120hz and people are complaining about 250+hz flicker from PWM. It may "cure the blur" but wouldn't it be at the cost with...
F it, think I may just go with the BL2710PT after reading more and it's only slightly more expensive. Anyone ever bought a monitor from Buy.com and had to exchange it? It looks like they have it at a decent price (689) and have them in stock. I just know amazon makes it easy when you are...
Think I'm going with two of these. Going to order through prime so if flicker becomes an issue for me I can return and get something different. Anything else that is vastly better for around the same price?
NCX - any other differences? I found a whole lot more positive for the Asus than the HP which seems to be a lot less popular. I'm not sure that I'd be affected by PWM, I work a lot with a dell e6410 which likely uses PWM for it's screen and don't have any problems sitting in front of it for...
Ok I'm thinking I may do get two of the Asus PB278Q from Amazon. I'm a prime member, so if I have any problems I can have them take care of it. Opinions?
So I am looking for a new monitor for my desktop and there is this whole PWM vs flicker-free etc. And without actually using it regularly it seems hard to know by just going to the store if you are in the "minority" that are affected. I have a dell e6410 laptop and it is LED backlit, and I'm...
I may just say screw it and go with the u2412m. I'm sure my dell e6410 laptop uses PWM to control the screen and it doesn't bug me at all. The only other thing I may do is decide to go with the 2414h and stick with 16:9 and sacrifice the little extra bump in res for PWM free. Ugh, I hate new...
