makemkv is not free from what I could find, well, free for 30 days in a trial. And it sounds like ripping it to hard drive really takes alot of space too, so its not like I could put alot of blue rays on my HDD for long term.
And is $13 for blu-ray a pretty special price? Or could I wait to buy...
Ok, I want to buy the firefly series, I see there is the series on blu-ray for $13, or DVD for $10.
So is blu-ray done that much better with the series? Did they take the effort to master it properly to take advantage of blu-ray?
Here is the biggest catch though, I currently lack the...
How long a macro can you make on the g500? Can it be as long as a sentence for example? And how many of you hear a high pitch whine when you use your g500?
Any of you able to use a claw grip on g500 comfortably?
I have read much on the issues of LED verses CCFL lighting, and I have not found your claims of "poor screen uniformity" or of "superior CCFL", if you wish for me to believe this, please provide link proofage or at least personal antidotal evidence.
Power saving is worth it on its own, and...
Yenniedn, I have looked at a number of reviews for these cases. I see in your first link now the lights, easy to miss though. Your second link is dead.
So how about my other questions about how these cases compare to each other. Like, does aluminum panels with a steel chassis much better then...
If nothing else, would someone please answer my questions about HDD LED activity light (and power light, less important though). Do most cases have them now, but don't list them? Or do most not have them now? How can I add them?
How do you guys think the PC-K7B compares to the PC-K58W?
Do either/both come with HDD lights? If not, could they be added? (please list that which would add such) Could a handle on the top be added/work with either/both?
Does aluminum panels with a steel chassis much better then steel...
So these are not Lian Li cases? Why do so many websites list them as Lian Li?
With these two cases, which do you figure is better? What features does each have that the other doesn't? How do you compare them? Lancool good about providing support?
Do either/both of these have hard drive lights...
I was looking at the Lian-Li PC-K7B and Lian PC-K58W because they are on sale and close to what I want. But I try to go to their website to find out more information on the products, and the products aren't listed!(tried searching and manually flipping through product pages) Furthermore, I can't...
I have4 read reviews like that (and perhaps that very review) well before posting this thread. Such clearly did not answer the questions I have posed here (if they had, I wouldn't have asked)
Is there much of a difference in quality levels among various monitor scalers?
1920x1200 with LED/low power consumption would make me happy enough.(there seems to be almost nothing in this regard) I might appreciate higher resolution or IPS, but I can live without. But I ask in case I find a...
If I want to hook up a signal directly to my monitor, from a tuner box or console or what not, I will need a monitor with scaling for it to work? I am mostly asking about what Ashok0 said since I understood very little of it.(I understood just enough to worry me :P)
This built in scaler...
Does "1:1 pixel mapping" allow for increasing the size of a image to fill up a higher resolution screen then source of signal, while keeping true to its aspect ratio?
If a hot-swap trayless is for 2.5 drives, it's for SSD,(yes I know laptop disk-drives come 2.5, but who uses them in a desktop?) and a good number of them are for 2.5 drives.
Sata3 has been around long enough to find its way on many a MoBo, and its much more complicated and expensive to make a...
I find it hard to believe that none of those trayless hot-swaps had SATA3/6GB support. I mean there is full backwards compatibility, right? And I figure the cost difference of having a improved connection type is pretty nominal, so why is it that all of them lack it? Maybe if I simply wait...
Very nice, thank-you. I shall continue to look over and try to get a good idea of them, hopefully I can put on a handle on them. This is the kind of thing I am looking for anyway, and at a decent price too since it doesn't have the unnecessary extra LAN type stuff.
Computers run out of...
To both of you, I didn't say I had to get absolutely everything on my wish. That was the whole point of my having put degrees of wish in there. I am willing to settle for something within the ballpark,(and have expressed that already) I haven't seen that yet though.
And I am willing to add...
Plus with the list of all the stuff I don't want in the case.
The lack of painted interior, just like lack of LED lights, whether I exchange them out or not, is about being environmentally friendly too. Stock fans should be sufficient, and if not, I should look at a different case or get one...
I have looked at the antec cases, and specifically the dark fleet ones. But as you will notice if you look carefully, the DF 85 has all the crap I don't want in a case. I had to actually use -"DF 85" and another DF case as well to screen out all such results in my SE(search engine) results...
That is fine, but I don't want to have to pay extra for adoption rails onto a 2.5 drive, and I don't want to have to mess with adoption rails at all. A single internal 2.5 drive bay isn't asking for very much though, they are pretty common in many cases I have found.
I said hotswap bay, for a...
I am looking for a particular type of case, one that seems to be almost nonexistent. I have looked and looked and found next to nothing. I have asked on another forum and no ones been able to give me even a single model number close to my specifications. But the people here have shown themselves...
So are you saying that with a good modern video card, scaling up a image in same ratio will be nearly perfect?
Would the dell U2410 have one of these hardware scalers? What name does this feature go by to know what to search for/look for? Are there different grades of these hardware scalers...
From my understanding, the issue of wide gamut is that color instructions aren't specific enough, like a program might tell the monitor to display its brightest green, which can be alot brighter if its a wide gamut screen.
I would assume that a video card would convert the instructions...
Are most monitors good at scaling images with no stretch so the ratio of the source stays true? Does that tend to cause much image quality issue?
Specifically, I was wondering if I need to be concerned about buying a monitor of the same size but a higher native resolution then 1920x1080 or...
I can't really make out much of those graphs, numbers and data in the PRAD, the jargon etc loses me.
But somewhere in the U2410 (not sure where, the thread is so massive, and I can't recall the page number) theres some striking pictures of a desktop picture of sky ocean and rock covered by a...
Well, I would like more opinions on what to buy, do any of the latter cards come with extra features etc that aren't reflected in raw benchmarks but I might appreciate anyway? Better movie play etc?
How do I decide between brand names of same cards? Like if I decided to buy a 6950, well it...
What is color correction in video cards for if it only causes banding?
Well, I found reference in the Dell U2410 thread that sRGB mode is not perfect and causes incorrect colors still. And I find it hard to believe I could reach accuracy by just adjusting color tint and brightness. Since if...
