From the posts in both threads, it appears everyone loves their NON-REFURB version, but the refurb version seems to have a boatload of problems. Check it out. Also, if you can slap DD-WRT than it should be okay --- but one guy claims people have been completely bricking these every now and then...

I have this and it's a great product. I love that if I need to go to a time, you can instantly go to it without having to scroll through a bunch of footage for 15+ minutes before you find the right time spot. Q-see makes half way decent stuff too, if you are needing more cctv stuff on the cheap...
