Hello all,
I am preparing a new system for water cooling and this being my first venture into it, i have a few questions. I am only doing a loop for my CPU, and i want to know if anyone has much experience with Mayhems Aurora, or Mayhems Ice White coolants. I am doing a black and white...
not my rig, although i wish it was. i had to post this somewhere so others could get a sense of the type of people i have to deal with on a daily basis.
this computer was brought in for repair. the guy uses it to check email........yep, not one game or CPU/GPU intensive program on this...
thats quite alright, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i dont expect anyone but fellow stern fans to understand.
as far as not knowing kyle, my lurking on this forum has only taken me to the case modding boards and the cooling boards. never once have i thought, hmm, i wonder who...
better hope the Nvidia GpU in there doesnt fail before you get the mod done. those laptops are by far the worst laptops ever in the history of laptops. ive seen hundreds if not thousands of those come in my shop for the same problem. no amount of cooling will help. but hey, awesome job on...
nice job sir, and great story behind the mod ( although a terribly sad one). nice choice on the Acer laptop, my favs.
sorry for your loss but keep up the cool mods
yeah, the computer is toast. the fire got so hot in that area that it melted my monitors into a pile of melted crap. my pc, which was about 5 feet from the desk wasnt able to be saved. i took the left overs of the pc to work (im a pc tech) and cleaned them as best i could but they were pretty...
yeah, were fine, neither of us were hurt badly. i burned my arm kinda bad breaking out a window to try to save the cats, but other than that we came out fine. we are just trying to piece together the things that we still have that werent ruined, which wasnt much.
So my birthday was the 15th and i got the worst present ive ever gotten in my 31 year existence. i just finished my build for BF3 with a 1090t @4ghz and a 6950 2gb twin frozer iii. then this happens.

i was leaning toward a 965 black but i got a the 1090t for the same price from our supplier at work. i also got a really nice deal on the 890gxm from the same people, 95 bucks shipped. as a side note they tried to sell me SuperTalent DDR3 to which i laughed and said no thanks. so, i got a...
i just went from an e8400 @ 3.82ghz to a 1090t so i wont be onboard for the SB goodness. as far as the 980x goes, i just cant justify spending $1k on one component for my pc. even if i could afford it, i wouldnt do it. there is something about doing more with less that i like, but to each his...
my case makes the 890gxm look so freaking tiny. dont worry though its just a place holder till i can get the money for a nicer ATX board. when i get the new board im going to sleeve the cables and paint the inside of the case black.
heres my whole setup
been browsing the forum for a while now and just thought id register and contribute a little bit. i just recently upgraded my system to a 1090t so my old e8400 and 750i needed a new home. i pretty much blew my load on the new parts, so i couldnt afford to get a case for it. so....till then i...
