Exactly - it's not used to spy on every day Joe's, since that basically takes too long and they have a ton of actual terrorists / etc. to go after. The NSA collecting information has been going on since the mid 1970's; the Patriot Act expanded their power greatly and what they are doing is...
Cool - I've always thought a brute force algorithm approach would be the end goal of good AI; there are so many applications waiting for something like this to happen to them:
* Car engines
* Rockets
* Energy transferal
* Medicine / surgery
Similar to how a computer can examine a chess...
The article is full of FUD.
There is a group on Reddit which goes into a lot more detail about tDCS; basically there are different areas of the brain that are best to stimulate depending on what effect you are going for. There is a general worry amongst the Reddit community though that if...
I am picking up the 7870 deal that was on the various hot deals threads; would it be advantageous to leave in my old 5870 and use it to mine instead of selling it on CL or wherever?
BTC has a pretty good value right now so looking to take advantage.
On a side note, I have a pair of old...
If the cost is cheaper, I wouldn't mind waiting 15 weeks for a new car.
Plus printing out a new part whenever you need it, instead of having to go to the local autoparts store, would be FRIGGING AWESOME.
These would be useful for robotics, of course. As someone mentioned above with Battlemech, in one of the RPG's that's essentially what the giant robots used in order to avoid falling down. Humans have our own internal gyroscope via the liquid in our inner ears, to make a robot with the same...
They seem to have patches at about the same rate, that is to say "OMG you have to patch this right now!" level patches about once a week.
I don't understand how someone can put software out there with so many security holes... for example Java 1.7 was supposed to be this super-security...
Pretty cool case; I have the humongous HAF-X and completely love it, so I'd love to see a review on the HAF-XB at some point, [H] willing. I like seeing case manufacturers try new things to mix it up.
What kind of crap is this? They should just include all the DLC if they're going to sell old games as part of a bundle; I actually thought about buying this until I saw they weren't going to include all of the DLC.
Criminals this dumb really need to just be wiped off the face of the earth in a permanent fashion.
I propose the death sentence. Not for stealing the iphone but for causing such a ruckus and risking the lives of so many innocents.
Please include me in this contest. I would love to have my grubby paws on the ASUS GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II. The main benefit I would receive from this lovely piece of hardware is increased FPS in my favorite game Starcraft2, which currently only limps along. The cooling efficiency of this card...
Yahoo moved a big datacenter to WNY.
It's pretty slick actually - they have these big vents that can open up during winter, and combined with the cheap electricity here even during the summer, I'm sure they have decreased their costs to run the datacenter by quite a bit.
